Absolutely stunning day out. So much variety of foods and drinks. Very different experience for us. We would never have found these out of the way places on our own. On the tour we met several friendly and interesting people. A tour is only as good as the fellow guests and the tour guide. Bridget is the best ever. Seriously. So knowledgeable, a fantastic personality and very helpful and friendly. It isnt easy to talk on an amazing range of subjects for almost 10 hrs and retain the interest of all on board, who all played their part and interacted so well. A big shout out to Rosa, Ian and Sarah. We all saw a lot and learned a lot. 5 star value. Mike and Dot.

Great day trip to Atherton Tablelands. Tasty food and interesting commentary by our wonderful guide, Brigid. Would recommend for something a bit different

Chris was a great host and treated us to a great variety of experiences. The food and drink visits were well timed and engaging and I loved the range of different landscapes we visited

Collected on a bus by a very bubbly Bridgette. First stop lovely view over the Lake Barrine for breakfast. Which was served cold and the poached egg was hard, can overlook this though as it was very tasty. On the way up our bus made a weird loud noise which Bridgette checked out. An international guest suggested it might have been a blow out which wasn’t correct. Bridgette explained in great detail how experienced she was having her MC, grew up around a work shop, worked in a tin mine (who cares, it doesn’t make you an expert) and knows a thing or two about mechanical things. It was delivered very rudely, and we felt sorry for the guy who had dared to say something. 2nd stop at Winter & Mann at Yungaburra and a bus changeover where we sampled tasty local produce, chocolate and marshmallow. Great little shop full of local gourmet products and clothes run by two very passionate owners. Loved Yungaburra, gorgeous little town. A car pulled over next to us on the way and said our brake lights weren’t working. After investigating it was found by one of the passengers that if the lights were turned on they “sometimes/kind of worked”. We continued on our way in an unroadworthy vehicle…. 3rd stop Platypus Park for a “gourmet lunch and wines”. After a walk down an unpaved slippery muddy walkway and slope was nice to see the platypus. Lunch was served and goes down as one of the worst meals I have experienced, couldn’t finish it. Rubbery dry red claw, tough kangaroo, old salad, chorizo pastry where’s the crocodile? on a plate that just looked like a mess. Any of the reviews that enjoyed this has a very low standard when it comes to food. 4th stop Gallo Cheese & Chocolate. Nice. 5th stop Humpy Nut World for fresh fruit and nuts which were tasty. 6th stop Mt Uncle Distillery, great gin, rum and agave products and facility very nice. 7th stop Emerald Creek Ice Creamery, ice cream was ok. Overall, thanks but no thanks and fix the brake lights please.

I Brett is a great tour guide; knowledgable about his area, friendly and sometimes even funny. He gives a wealth of information about all the diverse areas he drives through. We were a group of 8 people and he took us to numerous stops along the way. We were fed, wined and dined throughout the way. Everything was produced by local small enterprises and we learned about the food but also about the wildlife and the people of the area. I wish I could remember all the stories Brett told. It was a really enjoyable day.

We had Brett himself as our tour guide and he was so great. He is so knowledgeable, friendly, and talked a lot about the area. We did the food tour with him. You get so much food that was made fresh and grown locally. It was all really good and I think this should be a top priority for experiences in Port Douglas.

A fantastic combination of seeing the Tablelands and sampling some of the produce being grown in the area. Some considerable effort has gone into planning this trip. You see and sample so much ( I think it was seven seperate stops) but it doesn’t feel at all rushed. You drive past and see so many crops and plantations you wouldn’t believe so much produce is produced in this area. The transport was comfortable , our tour guide Chris was fantastic and we we were blessed with some lovely company throughout the day. I noticed how carefully they catered for everyone, so don’t worry if you don’t want to taste the kangaroo or crocodile, that’s no problem. Chris was a true professional, he couldn’t do enough for us. I can thoroughly recommend this trip 👍

What an amazing day! Brett is so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and it is infectious. They grow and raise so many different foods and the itinerary and various spots that Brett has picked to stop and sample and get a full taste of it all is exceptional. Food and diet restrictions were really well handled too. The lunch with full explanation of tropical fruits was the best! Highly recommend.

Was a long but mainly enjoyable day as we traversed the Tablelands to taste the produce of the local area. Glen was our guide and driver and provided interesting commentary on the region. We had plenty to eat and drink, with the highlight being lunch at the Platypus Park at Tarzali Lakes. A notable stop was at Jacques Coffee plantation for a sample of coffee and liqueurs. We marvelled at the fascinating history of this family and their coffee plantation. Mt Uncle Distillery gave us a chance to sample locally made and potent tequila, gin and whiskey. A long day in the bus and many kms travelled through nice Australian outback. Perhaps needs to pare back so more time can be devoted to the more interesting stops.
