We enjoyed the private tour of Montecassino with Italy Best Excursions. Paolo was a friendly and knowledgeable driver. Anna was the local guide on the Montecassino portion and was very knowledgeable about the battle locations that Canadian units were involved with. They then took us to the Commonwealth cemetery and the Polish cemetery and gave us sufficient time to reflect the significance of these sites. The Abbey was really impressive and the scenery of the Liri valley was valuable to see to appreciate the battlefield conditions of the allies. It was well worth it!
