Minardi Frascati Winery

We will have fun by cooking fresh Pasta from scratch in a unique context: my family's 17th century family-run wine farmhouse, located in Frascati's vineyards (only 24 minutes train ride from Rome!). We will also enjoy a guided Wine Tour of our vineyard and farmhouse (a sort of wine museum now, no modern winemaking there) and have a Wine tasting of our nr. 3 family Wines, along with the lunch that will include the pasta varieties prepared by you, the tasty appetizers and the local sweets! We will meet in Frascati station and we will go to my family farmhouse (only 5 minutes drive) to discover a special place.. Me and my family team, also made of a pro Chef, will teach you how to prepare nr.2 of the traditional pasta recipes, including “Ravioli” and “Fettuccine“, as well as some of the secrets of the local culinary tradition! I will also provide you with our Pasta recipes! At the end of the experience we will accompany you back in Frascati station, to go back to Roma Termini station!

Highly recommended. Great hosts. Great food. Great learning. Up to you 100 minimum characters. Not sure what else to add. :)

This is a simply wonderful experience. Who knew making pasta from scratch was so accessible? The train ride from Termini is cheap as chips with lots of lovely views (look out for the aqueduct park - well worth a visit in its own right), the views at the winery are stunning and the buildings are amazing. Fabrizio the chef really knows his stuff and it was fun having him speak Italian (although his English is way better than my Italian) while Luca translated. The wines are lovely and it was great to be able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy them with a bit of bread and cheese. Lunch was the pasta we'd made topped with Fabrizio's sauces with lots of Minardi wine and we then gatecrashed a party of young Americans on what I believe they call a bachelorette party! That was at Alfredo's insistence by the way, we'd never have been so bold :) Alfredo's a pretty fine guitarist so we all had a sing song with our American friends then it was time to go. We had a couple of beers in Frascati waiting for the train back to Rome and enjoyed the views from a bar we'd patronised a couple of years previously. Everyone in our party of eight thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

WOW! Stunning location owned by a very welcoming family, especially Alfredo. Well organised transport and instructions to get there. Fun and interesting pasta making with Fabizio plus lovely lunch (and amazing wines). Their olive oil is to die for. And Paola is simply hilarious. We could've easily stayed longer and it was my favourite day out in Italy.

What an amazing experience this was. One of the best in our life. First of all, we had a wonderful tour leader who greated us at the train station together with one of the owners of the Vineyard. The actual pasta experience with the cheft, was top notch. We did indeed learn how to do 3 types of pasta, which was amazing and ate a big meal afterwards. It was worth it and I fully recommend it to anyone wanting to go out abit from Rome, just a 30min ride by train. Keep it up guys!

This was one of the highlights of my experience in Italy! The staff was very accommodating, and informative, and gave a great wine-tasting/pasta-making experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit a winery close to Rome.

Nice to get out of Rome for the day. Nicco, our guide and interpréter was wonderful and part of the family. Our class was small, 6 people and the chef was very hands on with teaching the ins and outs making traditional pasta, after the class we sat outside with breath taking views of Rome and the countryside. Beautiful. For lunch they served a cold cuts, vegetables, breads cheeses then the wine tasting with history of the wine. After all that we were served our ravioli, fettuccini and a noodle soup with chick peas. It was all delicious. A very nice relaxing day to make our own lunch. Should be high on your list of to do’s.

The entire event was memorable! From Jo, who picked us up at the train station, translated for us, gave us a tour of the vineyard, gave us a quick tour of Frascati, took us to a fabulous bakery, to just being an absolute delight who acted as more of a friend than a guide. Then there was Fabrizio, who was our chef, he made learning fun and was so charming. He taught us to make ravioli, fettuccini and maltagliti. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the very handsome and charming 7th generation winemaker who serenaded us with Italian and American song. Hands down, this was the highlight of our trip to Italy!

We loved going to Frascati and the Master Pasta making class was excellent. We had so much fun tasting wine and olive oil. The lunch and music were wonderful! This is a must do if you want to get away from the busy city.

incredible experience! It's completely worth it, we highly recommend! The instructions were very clear and precise. The number of people on the tour is respected, which is very important for us since we do not like visits with many people. They give a lot of wine and a lot of food, then it is not necessary to make another meal.
