Our day trip to Ostia Antica was excellent. Alex picked us up from our accomodation in Rome, organised a restaurant for lunch for us and he also was helpful with lots of great recommendations for the rest of our trip! Highly recommend.

We had a very good experience with Alex as our driver today . He was prompt, pleasant and efficient. We had a nice day at Ostia Antica although the Museum portion was closed ( no prenotification as to this) and the guided tour was absent ( which was indicated to be included). Still we enjoyed the ruins and used an online audio guide to take the place of the guide we thought we would have! None of this was the fault of our delightful driver, however, and he did take us to have a lovely lunch at a restaurant on the beach nearby to Ostia.

We looked at the ruins through the gate because it was SHUT on Mondays! Alex Paolini, the kind and helpful driver, was not troubled by this in any way. He took me to Frascati, one of the Roman hill towns I had always wanted to see, with its gentle, traditional way of life, old people meeting for a stroll under the trees, morning coffee, clothes shops. There was nothing I felt obliged to see, no famous ruins.

We had a fabulous trip to Ostia Antica. Claudio was an excellent driver we felt very safe and he looked after us very well. Excellent recommendations and even returned a jacket which we left behind. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Claudio picked us up on time from the cruise port, and allowed us to make several stops before driving us to Ostia Antica Archeological Park. We spent several hours exploring this large early completely excavated site, which is lesser known than Pompeii but very much worth a visit. Afterwards he suggested a great local trattoria for a seafood lunch and then delivered us to our hotel. Claudio was a safe, efficient and thoughtful driver. We could not have been in better hands!
