Your Itinerary

The British Museum

Trade in paintings for mummies and historical artifacts on a tour of the British Museum. The enormous collection spans 6000 years of human history, featuring items from all over the world like Samurai armor and rare Assyrian lion hunt reliefs. Your guide will take a serious but enjoyable approach towards the museum’s galleries, discussing primitive tribes and fallen empires through a carefully chosen selection of items. You’ll learn about the Mummy of Katebet, the Lewis Chessmen, and the Rosetta Stone – the actual rock, not the language learning program. Walk away with an understanding of what we humans have achieved during our short history and hopefully you’ll be proud to call yourself a part of this incredible species.

Wesley is great guide. He contacted us ahead of time time to coordinate a flawless link-up. After introductions he polled the tour group to sound out expectations and sought-out displays. A knowledgeable and engaging guide he shared a depth of insight into the objects and their place in human history. Well done!

The museum is too large to tackle on your own and we were only in London one day (passing through) This was the perfect tour to get an overview of the museum and hit the main attractions. Our guide was Sheldon and he did an awesome job showing us the key exhibits and also some we would never have seen…nicely providing some very enjoyable background stories! Highly recommend!

A museum the size of the British Museum can be overwhelming but with a good guide it becomes manageable. With a great guide it can be unforgettable! Becky was amazing!! A college graduate with a passion for history, she made the 2+ hours fly by. My wife, who is not a museum junky, had a great time. She provided insight on artifacts we might have missed entirely. Paying for the private tour for two was worth the money to make this a memorable experience! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Had an excellent informative tour with Wesley. Saw a great number of collections throughout the museum, and Wesley had deep knowledge of each.
