Its no problem for us, you chose on the day.

Admission Not Included

Pirates Bay/Eaglehawk Neck

Fantastic ocean views and stunning coastline at the Pirates Bay lookout! We then drop down to sea level at Eaglehawk Neck Beach and discover the amazing story behind the " Dogline" ...You will have to do the tour to find out what happens here.

Remarkable Cave

Remarkable Cave and the Tasman Peninsula area is stunning! A 5 minute walk will take you down to the cave, which appears different in summer and winter, there is also a great new viewing platform above the cave with sweeping views of the Southern Ocean and the towering cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula. For walkers there is an easy short walks along the cliffs to Mt Brown...choose how far you want to walk! I would strongly suggest spending 3 hours at Port Arthur and 1 hour visiting here as an option on the tour

Devil's Kitchen

Great short walk (10 MINS) easy, that starts at the Tasman Arch and finishes at Devils Kitchen These Geographical features are similar to what you would experience on the Great Ocean Road ( but with less tourists) They are essentially awesome towering sea caves that have collapsed! There is also a nice little lookout on the walk, as well, where you will be able to see the ocean and sea cliffs

Rosny Hill Lookout

Great first stop on the Eastern Shore of Hobart as we cross the Tasman Bridge and head towards Richmond Village via the Rosny Hill Lookout. You will be able to look back towards Hobart, Mt Wellington and the famous Tasman Bridge, great photo opportunity. If the weather is not good in the morning for your photo we will do it on the way back before entering Hobart, this tour has great flexibility

Richmond Bridge

Visit the famous historical town of Richmond as we make our way down to Port Arthur. Richmond is Australia's number 1 historical Village and is famous for the oldest bridge, Catholic Church and Gaol in Australia !!! You will have time to grab something to eat and walk through the main street to get that famous photo of the bridge and church.

Using Tripadvisor for a trip trip to Port Arthur Tasmania Australia. Reservations made online with confirmation email soon after however another email stated pending but nothing more than that remark. Email also stated three days required before final confirmation so I was confused to say the least. On the third day there was no confirmation And no email. To be on the safe side I purchased a ticket through another vendor 24 hours before I was supposed to leave on the Tripadvisor tour. Four hours before the alleged tour through Tripadvisor was to begin. I received an email that the tour was canceled! Thankfully I had purchased a tour the night before. Emails requests were not returned through Tripadvisor until the final email a few hours before the trip was to commence. For this reason I will never use Tripadvisor for a tour! On over 20 tours taken in three months time,in Asia and Australia, I had not one problem with any other tour! Subsequently, I am spammed by TripAdvisor for tours of Australia some three weeks after I left the country and there seems to be no end in sight. They need to get their act together in my opinion. 1. Make it quite clear in your brochures that its a 11 seater bus very uncomfortable. 2. Don't dump your passengers off at Richmond at 8.30am when the town is closed and point to a bridge with instructions to meet me there in 30 minutes 3. Its a trip to see Port Arthur we were given instruction to randomly stroll around when there was a free guided tour. Take the tour and start at the beginning not at the end. 4. This was the highlight of our trip, 2.5 hours at Port Arthur not enough. 5. Don't answer your phone of have a conversation on the phone when driving paying customers. 6. Stick to the guided tour and historical chater, no political views or complain about rules and regulations. 7. Please clean the vehicle' windscreen so you can see through the windscreen when driving into the sun.

Had a great day, everything was nicely paced, and got to visit Richmond early, so had some great photograph opportunities. Mark the tour guide, was great and very funny, kept us laughing the entire way through. Definitely worth the money. Would recommend this tour.

Generally I thought the tour was good value as it covered Richmond port Arthur and parts of the Tasman peninsula. We weren’t guided at Port Arthur but we could have joined one. We wandered around on our own which was pleasant but not informative. The site was beautiful but some re-enactment of events as occurs in other sites would have been interesting. We had about 2 hrs there. We went to the unzoo which was disappointing. I love the concept but I would have been furious if I’d paid $36 to see one devil feeding and a few reclining kangaroos. Fortunately it was only a few dollars more than the standard tour. We could have had less time at Richmond and more at Tasman peninsula walk or included a winery. Mark was quite funny at times but I can see it could be too much ‘commentary ‘ for some. I was very appreciative of the drop off at the airport. Overall a better option than driving yourself probably.

Although i had paid ,Mark decided as the big boss, not to pick me up because i dared to complain that they were late and i was waiting in the rain at the street. He was totally rude ,i even when to the police to complain and they adviced me to write my story here and not only he was laughing on me at the phone ,he said to the tourist information that he did not pick me up because i was i threat to other people......

We were picked up at a different hotel than the one we were staying in for some strange reason. When we got on the bus the tour guide Mark started with this incessant conversation that rarely stopped and got less informative, more rude and at times definitely racist. We were dropped off in Richmond and told to walk a km to where he would be waiting on the bus, gave a 30 second description of where we could head and was gone. Didn’t know about the history of the bridge or the town. Just told there was a bakery and where the toilets are. We stopped numerous times to look at stupid or pointless things like the US embassy, which turned out to be a KFC. Before we got to Port Arthur we wanted to visit the Tassie Devil sanctuary which we were promptly told was a waste of time and we needed all 4 hours at port Arthur. When we get to Port Arthur we were rushed inside and given a map and a lanyard that let us in. He walked us down the steps, after complaining about how much a waste of money ( 11 million)the new visitors centre was and how stupid the new museum in the centre was, he spent another minute telling us to cut through the park and go around and meet back at the bus at 4:20 while he goes for a 12km run. 4 hours was far too long though Port Arthur itself was beautiful. Honestly I would not recommend this tour to anyone and it was the black stain on our holiday.

I enjoyed the Port Arthur Mega Tour this week. Mega being the right word! This tour included so many extras which was great. Port Arthur was amazing, I still can't believe it was an active prison for boys and adults for 50 years! It's a must see if you're in Hobart. The people on my tour bus had already done other tours that week with Mark and had come back for more which is always a good sign. With adventure island it was nicer being in smaller groups, Mark makes sure you all get involved and enjoy everything. We were lucky enough to see the sea bridge raise as a yacht went through which was a nice surprise and good to see it in action. They offer an option to add the unzoo to your tour but unless you're really tight on time for being in Hobart I wouldn't choose it as there's so much to see at P A. It's much bigger than you expect! Top tip for Port Arthur; if you're having lunch there use the restaurant in the newly built visitors centre, not the other cafe. There's much more choice in the visitor centre one. All in all the tour was a great day and well worth the money! A must do!

The trip was good but we found Port Arthur disappointing. Too commercialised now and has lost it's atmosphere.
