Le Dolomiti Lucane

We are in the heart of the Little Dolomites Lucane, Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa are two of the most beautiful villages in Italy that every year attract thousands of tourists because of the Flight of the Angel. We will make a trek of medium difficulty starting from the alleys of Castelmezzano that will take us up to the Norman steps near the Castrum medianum and then down to the stream Caperrino. We will see an ancient water mill near an unusual view on the ridge of the coast of San Martino, we will continue the descent to the cave of the witches, part of the path of the seven stones that bring to mind the verses of Mimmo Sammartino. After the light lunch at the typical Lucanian inn we will move to Pietrapertosa where we will take a path along the duglies of the Lucanian Dolomites between the ancient Arab quarter, the Rabata, up to the Saracen fortress.
