Should visit Venice once in life but not my favorite place in Rome. Our tour guide was was nice Jacob. Without him we never would have managed the train system. It is overwhelming.

Donnetta_D

My tour to Venice from Rome was simply, overwhelmingly wonderful. I had the absolute best guide, Antonella, was PHENOMENAL; she is very knowledgeable and made the tour so enjoyable. This trip was everything. I truly enjoyed her expertise and Venice was super amazing! I was able to cross a gondola ride off of my 🪣 list with this trip. I'm feeling beyond blessed! 🙏🏽

Very helpful tour guide, the driver is good and nice, they are accommodating and the tour is funtastic

We started early to meet our guide who escorted us the entire trip and was available throughout the day - whatever we needed, it was accommodated. The weather was superb, sunny and a light breeze so some of the laneways were a bit chilly. Lucky we prepared for all contingencies so we could easily take the layers off and on as needed. Our guide suggested a few spots for eating and we took advantage of finding a restaurant slightly away from the main thoroughfare that provided a cosy atmosphere and the ability to relax and talk without the buzz of people. Make no mistake, Venice is a busy spot so be prepared for people walking into you and almost tripping you over to get that whole one centimetre in front of you… and yes there were prams and dogs to navigate too. Regardless, this was a high point of the holiday, perfect to get a taste of Venice.

We were so looking forward to this trip but it was not worth $300 a person. The train trip itself was good although there were delays both ways. Also you have assigned seats so if the person across from you is sick well then you are going to get sick which we both are ill. Since there was a train delay once we were off the train we were practically running through the Venice streets stopping for a moment here and there to take photos. We felt like a herd of cattle. Very physically challenging to any one out of shape or over 60. We did see St. Marks Square at which point our tour guide left us on our own. We were told there was a Happy Hour which was an absolute joke. One drink which contained little alcohol and one brushetta. We left there to find something to eat. No time for a gondala ride. Very disappointed. For $600 for 2 people you can buy the train tickets yourself, go on a gondola ride, have a nice meal and take your time. I should mention I learned nothing from the tour guy and 6 people left the tour about half way through because they were rushed and unhappy. I believe Viator should issue me a partial refund for this poorly orchestrated and very disappointing event.

Th tour guide Graciela was very pleasant and knowledgeable, however, once we got there we felt the tour was too expensive for what was offered. The happy hour was a total disappointment. We got a small cracker with a piece of cheese, and one drink.

Please understand that you're signing up for a long hard day. Now with that out of the way, it is totally worth it! Breathtaking! Our tour guards were amazing! Highly recommend (with caution)

You probably could just get a ticket yourself and get on the train tbh but they at least explain how to use the train train system

There is so much to explore & experience in Venice, so this might not tick every box for you being that it is just a day trip, but the itinerary gives you just enough free time to enjoy some of the highlights of this magical city! The tour begins with a very smooth high speed train ride. Enjoy the views of the Italian countryside, and bring a travel adapter & charger to use the outlets provided on the train. You will likely use your phone’s battery navigating through the town on your own, and taking pictures of the photogenic scenery. Upon departing from the train, Graziella & Grace were great tour guides! They expertly guided us through the town to the main square. Then, we were given a couple hours of free time to explore Venice, meeting back up for an Apertivo with the group before boarding the train back to Rome. Use Google Maps because Venice is tricky to navigate! My Wife & I had a nice lunch, went to the top of Campanile Tower (highly recommended) for a panoramic view of Venice (10 €). We enjoyed a 30 minute ride on a gondola for 90 € (we asked another couple if they wanted to join us, and we split the cost. Only ended up costing 45 € for us). If you want to get a feel for the vibe of Venice, this is a good entry point! You won’t see everything, honestly, but you can enjoy some of the highlights. We had a memorable time, and it made us want to make a return trip to this seaside town.

Venice is a beautiful city! Shopping is amazing and we loved the fact that for the most part it was self guided! Graziela was wonderful. And the train ride goes thru beautiful countryside!
