This is such a great tour!! Yummy and informative, Christophe did an amazing job at giving us a locals perspective! We got to try lots of local Vienna bites and drinks and learned how to effectively use the public transportation (an unexpected highlight for us!). Couldn’t recommend this experience more!!

Travellling around the city with an enthusiastic guide trying all sorts of foods the locals eat, seeing local markets and travelling on the underground and trams

We were slightly dubious about the food tour as we have never experienced one before. But let me put your mind at ease. This was simply the highlight of Vienna for the both of us. Our guide Christian was extremely knowledgeable without being condescending. Right from the get go he was vey informative explaining the basics of a normal day for the working person in Vienna, the infrastructure and little of the history of the coffee culture (Starbucks RIP) all while drinking a melange and tasting a delicious apple tart. I won’t ruin any more of the tour but believe me there are sooo many good reasons to take the tour especially the food and the beer. It was a great start to our break and where even considering taking it again the next day!

Angestra was a fabulous tour guide! We tasted endless treats and delicacies of Vienna, traipsed throughout the city on the public transportation visiting local neighborhoods, loved our food truck visit and tastings, and learned so much about history and politics. Thank you Viator for a terrific day in Vienna!

Great experience. Maria was an excellent guide and we ate and drank way more than we should have. Highly recommend. Lots of Metro riding and we learned a lot about Vienna outside of the usual tourist spots.

Great food tour! We visited a variety of different restaurants, food markets, and got practice taking the trams and subway. I really enjoyed going to different districts outside of the city center. Without this tour, I don't think we would have. Maria was an excellent and friendly tour guide. After the tour, she sent us an email of all the places we had visited and what we had at each location, which was great as we couldn't remember all of the German names. We tried so much delicious and different foods, this was one of the best food tours we have been on.

Our tour guide Maria was wonderful about explaining all the food and culture. We have been on several food tours and this one has been our favorite! Maria also emailed all our locations after the tour, which was helpful so we could visit again. She also included recommendations to other locations and markets.

This was easily one of the best tours we have taken. Christopher was a great guide and took us all around the city tasting amazing food and teaching us all about Vienna. If you have the opportunity to take this tour you absolutely won't regret it!

My family of five went on this tour with Peter. We all had an incredible time - including and especially my three twenty-something children. Peter did an amazing job sharing alot about the history of Vienna and Austria while introducing us to local cuisine and customs at off-the-beaten path restaurants and food trucks. We learned so much and had so much fun - it was absolutely perfect. Peter is fascinating - he's traveled the world (80 countries!) so has much to share. The final stop, at a food truck owned by Thomas, was the highlight and absolutely delicious. Make sure you don't eat breakfast and I wouldn't suggest big dinner plans either. I highly recommend (and if you want alot of history included in your food tour, make sure to ask for Peter).
