The first stop of this tour will be at one of the most unique and attractive wineries in Europe. There, we will have the opportunity to understand how the winery has been built in a cave that is completely invisible from the outside. We will learn how the winery has been designed on different levels in order to facilitate gravity-fed vinification. We will enjoy a tasting of three wines paired with local cured meats.

We will go to one of the most prestigious wineries in Catalonia: Llopart, a centenary winery where we will discover the sparkling wine, denomination of origin Corpinnat. We will take a tour through the history of the winery, from its origins to the present day, where we will get to know the vineyards, from where we will have impressive views of Montserrat. We will have the opportunity to go into the facilities where the wines and sparkling wines are produced, to finish with a tasting of some of their best sparkling wines accompanied by some delicious traditional cured meats.

Our guide was wonderful . He was well versed on the area and the wines. The bus was clean and comfortable. The bus driver did a great job driving to and from the wineries. At each of the wineries, we had fantastic winery guides and delicious wine tastings. Can Rafols wine tasting was in a beautiful manor house. The wine production areas are carved into the mountain and very unique. Llopart has a gorgeous view of Montserrat. After viewing the wine production, we had a lovely wine tasting in the cellar. We highly recommend this excursion. The Penedes wine region is a beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. This is a newer tour so it does not appear first, but we highly recommend it for the individualized approach.

We enjoyed the opportunity to travel comfortably in a small group tour through the countryside outside Barcelona. The Pinedes region was spectacular. The two wineries that we visited were exceptionally good. The tastings were high quality and well organised with very helpful and interesting explanations. The hosts at the wineries were well informed and interesting. Our guide for the day is to be commended for his friendly, knowledgeable and interesting manner. The driver was professional and safe! The tour was not exactly as advertised in terms of wineries we visited. We had a fantastic time. Coach was very comfortable, guide was helpful, and the wines were fantastic. We learned so much and can't wait to return to Spain to continue learning more. Highly recommend.

Would have loved to give an accurate review but what a terrible experience. Didn't even go on the trip. Julia Travels group gave zero notification that the tour was cancelled. We arrived ready to go and was informed it was cancelled for the week. Was told to come back the next morning for a similar the tour but one that included Montserrat. Same thing happened again! We had to change our day to day itineraries. We had planned to go to Madrid but couldn't because of the lack of communication and inconvenience. They offered for us to do another tour in place -- Costa Brava & Dali. The tour had potential but our guides English guide missed the marked. She hardly spoke and shared information with us. It was boring. The better part was the museum. Honestly wish we would've jumped through the hoops for a refund. The bus nearly froze us to death.

This tour turned out to be a surprise where I learned about John Leon and his passion for wine, never heard of him until now. One of the extra was the variety of grapes they offer tour participants to try, on the vine. I was able to taste different grapes like 'what does a Zinfandel taste like?' It helped me appreciate the complexity of wine making and the talents required. Worth the price.

Excellent!! Great way to spend the day.Great guides. Pourings were ample. Visited a small winery, medium ( had wine/cheese pairings) and huge winery. Very interesting. In the cava winery, Tram ride from deep in caves to surface was fun. At the last stop we had cava, wine and dessert. We all slept on way home.highly recommend.

We visited 3 wineries including a famous Cava maker where you are taken 30 meters underground to the caves, where it is stored. It was a great day out and though lunch is not included, there are wine accompaniments, with generous samples of wine and cava included. Our coach was comfortable and our guide brilliant. As you're trying to squeeze so much in to the day, it did feel a little rushed but that's the only minor complaint. Great value for money.
