The tour started promptly at 7:30a and the directions to the meeting point were clearly articulated. It was a very enjoyable day especially since the entire group consisted of a family of 4, my partner and myself. Our tour guide explained our journey for the day and was very knowledgeable. He shared facts throughout the journey to Salzburg including sharing his personal favorites. Upon arrival in Salzburg, our tour guide was waiting and we departed for the 1.5 hour walking tour. We enjoyed the mixture of Salzburg history as well as showing us a few locations where The Sound is Music was filmed. At the end of the tour, we had 2.5 hours to wander Salzburg on our own, which was plenty of time. The drive back to Vienna seemed short as most watched The Sound of Music on their dedicated iPad. Service throughout the day was impeccable and ended with the tour guide delivering my iPhone to me at our hotel. I left my iPhone in the van and noticed it was missing about 5 minutes after being dropped off at our hotel. I didn’t panic as we were in a small group and thought I would be able to pick it up the next morning. To my surprise, our tour guide came back to our hotel that evening to drop off my phone. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an excellent tour of the Lakes Region and Salzburg. We much enjoyed Naomi's historical details about Salzburg during the Middle Ages, and about the filming of Sound of Music.
