The Viennese Naschmarket is a fascinating mixture from people and food from all over the world. On our Tour we will meet at a special point near the Naschmarket and will walk from one end to the other. We stop at different booth, explain what is the specialty, where does it come from, how to use it and the best of all: we taste all these delicacies! So our tour is like a trip around the world by tasting the culinary specialities....  Our groups are small - only 4 - 8 people. By this everyone can stand in the first row and will have his own great experience when he discover the multiple tastes of the worlds food.  The tour lasts for about 2,5 hours where our guides will lead you with charm, esprit and a lot of knowledge.

The weather was horrendous, cold and heavy rain. We were the only two people on the tour. Our guide Monika was excellent and very knowledgable. We worked our way through the market stopping at various stalls to taste their products but we got very cold. Monika stopped at a lovely hot chocolate parlour and bought us a drink it went down very well! Felt we could have sampled some more local Viennese fayre but nonetheless an enjoyable afternoon.

This market is all international foods not local, standing around eating 1 small nut or piece of dried fruit at a time while the guide explained the name of the nut and what it was coated in. Not a good tour for me, my patience was tested.

We had no idea that the Naschmarkt would be so big. Or so delicious! All the fresh foods, the spices, the desserts ~ we dreamed of staying in Vienna for a month just so we could shop at the Naschmarkt. We were lucky that our great tour guide, Isabel, is a true foodie and a gracious guide. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our morning with her as she led us to many tasty stops in the markt. If you’re a foodie, take this tour and ask for Isabel.
