It was a complete disaster from start to finish. They lost the booking even though we had a copy of it, then they weren't organised to do the wine tour, cheese platter was included in package but that didn't happen. They don't know the products they sell on their own website and what was supposed to be a nice weekend away has been nothing but a weekend from hell. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone

We had Steve give our work group an excellent tour of behind the scenes which was highlighted by his knowledge of the industry and sense of humour. After the wine tasting we went for lunch on the terrace. The staff were lovely and the food tasted great. Would highly recommend this for any groups recommending a different experience.

If you have two hours or so to spend on a fine winter weekend and don't mind a thirty minute drive from the centre of Brisbane, then Sirromet Wines have an excellent guided tour of their winery, just east of Mount Cotton. Our guide was a little brusque at first but, when he warmed up, proved to be a fount of knowledge on Sirromet folk-lore with a quick but quiet sense of humour. Throughout the visit you see the vines, the blending room , barrel cellar and the production vats with associated stainless-steel gubbins. Our guide was able to educate most of our tour to some degree - whether it was on the making of wine or the growing of the grapes - he had a good yarn to spin. The investment by the Sirromet organisation in the apparently, state-of -the-art equipment is huge and the skills of the wine-makers impressive. At the end of the tour we had a most welcome chance to taste wines - and pretty good they were, for the most part. Our guide also helped us through this process and we were encouraged to make our own notes on each wine - perhaps in the hope we would purchase a case or two of our favorite at the end. The cheese platter (quite generous) at the end of the tour and tasting then get served, at your option, at the Tuscan Terrace or in the Winery itself. Next time (and I will go again) I will give lunch on the Tuscan Terrance a miss and stick to the Winery!
