Lots to see on the wrecks but 71 people on one trip (excluding those already out there) is far too many. Very rushed & crowded. Only 30 minutes in the sea but hours of waiting and preparing.

We booked through Viator and instructions received say arrive at the port 9am for a 10am ferry departure. We arrived at 9am and just waited around for an hour! We were allocated a 1.30pm snorkeling session. The ferry crossing is quite long but pleasant and informative. We arrived on the island, checked in & got a coffee with the voucher. At 1.30 we joined the huge throng waiting for snorkeling equipment, wetsuits and a lengthy safety talk. Our leader was Kim who gave clear & concise informative. A very crowded boat took us to the wrecks and we snokeled in a line following Kim. Far too many people all together, fins everywhere, children who could barely swim, shouting, kicking. Couldn't hear much of what was said but we did see turtles, wobbegongs and plenty of colourful fish. After only 30 minutes of being ushered through the wrecks we were back on a crowded boat (71 people) and back to shore. There we had to clean our equipment and hand it in. We were hoping for a bite to eat but it was 3.30 and the ferry left at 4pm. We asked about changing the ferry time but that's $20 per person and the tannoy was already asking us to board! Lots to see on the wrecks but guided snorkeling in a group, for 30 mins is not for us - we'd have spent hours out there if we could.

We had booked the marine discovery tour in advance, which was meant to be approx 90 minutes. On the day it was less than 60. We were not happy with this. And when we asked why this was the case we were told it was due to a cruise being the same day, which was never communicated to us. After the day we were told we could have availed of a kayak tour as compensation which was also never communicated to us. This was really disappointing as we paid a lot of money for this tour.

We wanted to change a dessert tour for something different but there not such an option. Nobody on the island could help us, even tour operators. We had to call viator (call to the USA) and we were told there there no more available spots for different toura. But we knew it is. Nobody even try to do smth. Everybody said no straight away.

I made the mistake of booking the Dessert Safari and not the Quad tour. If you are not planning on going Sandboarding, the trip is basically an out & back to the sand dunes. People had a blast going down the dunes but was not for us. Resort is ok, a bit tired but great beaches. Snorkling along the wrecks would have been good but it was windy so none of the water activities were available. Check the weather first and assume you wonˋt be able to do the water activities if the wind is about 20?km..

Great day, we only wish we had longer on the island. We did the desert safari in the afternoon which is a sand boarding activity. Doc, our gide, was hilarious and we're glad we had him with us. Climbing the dune was the hardest bit, but going down on the board was fun. You will get sand everywhere, I had a tshirt while my partner had a vest and I was a bit more protected. We did the snorkel of the wrecks without a tour in the morning. It's about at 25 min walk up the beach to get to them then maybe 100 to 150m to swim out to them. You can rent wetsuits from the water sports shop at the resort to take down with you for $10 each. We were glad we did. Also glad we listened to their advice about which way the tide was going and therefore which end of the wrecks to get in so we could drift down with the tide. Food took a while at the cafe (at least 20mins) so give yourself some leeway if you have somewhere to be after.

Great place and nice to see the internal Sand dunes on top of walking along the coast. For those interested in nature and photography I recommend spending more than the 4.5 h coming with the standard package

We originally had the 4pm ferry booked but for an extra $20 each, we were able to book onto the 7pm ferry which gave us extra time. We were able to do the ATV Quad tour then. The Desert Safari is expensive but great fun! Sliding down a 70m (8 storey) dune gives you such an adrenaline rush. Plus it's a great workout walking back up. Prepare for sand going everywhere (I really mean everywhere), getting sand burn and wear sunglasses to prevent sand in the eyes. The ATV Quad tour is more value for money. Ride around either solo or tandem on a sand adventure park. The only struggle of the day was finding the tour desk to check into our Desert Safari. More signage needs to be put up there.

I went on the 10:00am cruise. They said to arrive by 9:00am. I drove to the Holt St Wharf. You have to check in & then you get a token so you can park in the car park for $20. The ride over was good. It was cruise day- meaning a cruise ship of 3000 people were day tripping on the island. I booked the marine discovery cruise over the Tangalooma wreck. It was awesome. It’s usually 90min but they shortened it to 60 min & gave me a voucher for a free 60 min kayak hire. I had to give them a deposit of $20 which they refunded after I returned the kayak. The lunch voucher was good- there wasn’t a lot of options I liked - this was because they were set up for the busy day of extra people- I thought it was well managed considering the amount of people. I’d love to go back & snorkel over the wreck. The ride back was stunning. Highly recommend
