Your Itinerary

Melbourne

We start the day early, leaving Melbourne sharply at 7:35am. We recommend guests eat breakfast prior to the tour, given we have a long drive ahead of us.

Grampians National Park

In one day we take you from Melbourne to experience the highlights of this breathtaking National Park. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time as you marvel at the Ancient Landscape with rugged mountain ranges and spectacular sandstone ridges. With an experienced guide leading you through this incredible scenery, you will come away from tour with a new understanding of the countryside and history of the region.

Admission Included

Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre

Once we have arrived in the picturesque National Park, we head to Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can explore and see first hand the creation stories that make up the lore of this diverse landscape. Venture around the cultural centre to spot wallabies, emus and maybe even echidnas in the bush. Come away with a deeper understanding of the significance of Gariwerd for the Indigenous people.

Halls Gap General Store

Before heading ‘up the mountain’ we relax in the picturesque town of Halls Gap, right in the heart of the Grampians National Park for time to grab lunch (at your own expense).

MacKenzie Falls

Probably the most famous waterfall in Victoria, we hike down to the base and back to marvel at the sheer amount of water and to feel the fresh spray in the air. The hike is about 250 steps to the base and back and if you prefer an easier flat walk out over the top of the falls this is absolutely fine! If ever Mackenzie Falls were closed to the public this stop would be substituted for a peaceful hike to Silverband Falls.

Admission Included

The Balconies

We then enjoy a hike along the shady path through the gumtrees and fascinating rock formations out to The Balconies, here you will see the famous ‘Jaws of Death’ with majestic views and scenery, featured in the Japanese Animation ‘Princess Mononoke’.

Admission Included

Reed Lookout

Reeds Lookout affords sweeping views down to Lake Wartook and out over the Victoria Valley and the Mount Difficult Range.

The tour was very good, it is a long trip but it is worth it to see the sceneries. In my case I went on long weekend all was full of people, it was difficult for the guide to find parking, he made his best. The guide was very friendly and solved all our doubts, always open to our questions. Unfortunately we didn't see kangaroos as says in the name of the tour.

It was a great day in the Grampians delivered by Aidan. I had an awesome day during the Easter weekend and found out some amazing stories brought to life by the guide. I also loved the sightseeing of the Indigenous painting and all the context around it.

I had a wonderful experience with this tour : well organised and the Grampians were one of my favorite place in Victoria ! The people I was with were really nice, and the guide was very cool, even if wasn't always able to understand everything he says (i'm a non native english speaker, and I struggle with some people more than others), but I get the most of it. But all over points were perfect, I would really recommand this experience.

With great landscapes (mountains, valleys, forests, waterfalls) and some wildlife sightings (kangaroos, emus, cockatoo etc.), this day trip to the Grampians National Park is definitely one of the top things to do when in Melbourne! Our guide (named Wes) was also fantastic and had a great knowledge (past and present) of the area (mines, farms, forests, mountains, wildlife etc.) including some interesting trivia (the gold rush and Bush Rangers, the construction of the roads and the renewable energy challenge, the great dingo fence or the handling of bushfires and damaged trees... to name just a few)!

Awesome trip! Breathtaking views. Hills, lakes and waterfalls. We saw mobs of wild kangaroos, emus and parrots. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting stuff with us about Australian animals and history.
