Our friendly skipper during your briefing will check in with you to find out if there is a certain beach you want to visit for your picnic or based on local knowledge you'll receive some recommendations based on the conditions of the day. E.g. during the wet season, Huntingfield Bay may be a great option as the waterfall may be running or if you're wanting to do some snorkelling and the wind conditions are suitable, Florence or Arthur Bay may be your best beach. There are around eight to ten beaches to choose from, so there'll be the perfect one for you. On your way to and from your picnic, the skipper will be showing you the highlights of the Magnetic Island coastline and spotting some of the local wildlife for you too. Some of the things you may see are our famous wreck, the SS City of Adelaide, Orchard Rocks, turtles, kites, sea eagles and some stunning reef fish.

My new Fiancé and I loved the attention to detail that the crew/staff displayed during the entire day! The energy/vibe of the crew was amazing, it set the mood straight off the bat to a perfect day. They were knowledgeable and friendly and catered to every need we asked for, would recommend to everyone especially couples looking for an affordable romantic getaway!

Highlight of our holiday! Bridey our host was so amazing and made us feel so special from the moment she collected us from the meeting point. The trip was modified for me to have the least amount of boat time (as I get really seasick) and more time on the beautiful secluded beach. We arrived safety and swiftly to the beach where Bridey set up our cabana and lunch. The lunch was so fresh ( prawns cheeses etc) and the drinks were chilled. We snorkelled, had a swim and felt totally relaxed watching the wildlife. Bridey returned and packed everything up and retuned us back to the meeting point. Highly recommend this company for making us feel so special and accommodating our changes to the booking.

This is our 3rd visit to Maggie and these guys know how to provide the perfect experience! Pilgrim sailing has been fantastic and this year we opted for a beach club breakfast. Absolutely amazing, faultless. Would give 10 stars if we could. The tour starts with Clayton giving a briefing about the island - Magnetic Island is rich in history. Clayton is a local which added to the experience - you can never beat the local touch. We drove around the island whilst Clayton stopped at various spots to give us a run down of the particular spots history. We ended up having our picnic at Five Bay Beach - no one else on the beach except us. So intimate. The water was beautiful, nice and clear and lots of fish to see. The picnic was second to none - we couldn’t finish it all. After two hours on our deserted island, swimming, snorkelling and relaxing, we headed back. Clayton packed up everything. We didn’t have to lift a finger. Clayton has the whole set up and pack up system all down pat, no more than 5 minutes each. It’s just great.
