We invite you on a journey through our vineyard with either Chris or Jo, the owners of Windows Estate who single-handedly operate it to this day. Learn about what we feel is the most important part of the winemaking process - the countless hours of vineyard work Chris has invested over the last 20 years. We will talk in detail about a broad range of factors influencing wine quality and style. Soil types and their suitability for different grape varieties, clonal selection, row orientation, pruning techniques along with organic weed and pest management through biodiversity. These are just some of the topics that will be covered, all with the aim of giving you a much deeper understanding of how vineyard management ultimately determines what have you have in the glass in front of you at the end of the day. Following the walk you will enjoy a private tasting among the vines with Zalto Denkart stemware where we connect the dots and show you how the specific particularities of our vineyard and Chris' decisions with regards to its management shape the character of our wines.

If there is one winery you should visit in the South West Region it is Windows Estate. I have visited an enormous amount of vineyard sites and cellar doors in my time but never one with the complete dedication and passion of Windows Estate. Chris And Jo have earnt my total RESPECT for what they have set out to achieve. Their commitment to the vines and the soil and the wine making philosophy is exemplary and manifests itself in some of the classiest wines I have tasted in Australia. I raise a glass to you both and send thanks from our group for the time we got to spend at your Estate... Andrew Bolton
