An amazing journey through the Noosa Everglades - one of just two Everglades in the whole world! The brief and introduction to kayaking was clear and to the point from our guide and soon we were off in our kayak to explore at our own will! Note this is a strenuous activity so be prepared to kayak for the full 4-5 hour slot depending on how far you want to get! An incredible experience and one of our highlights of the trip!

Amazing day out with Kanu Kapers. We did the self guided tour and saw the beautiful Noosa Everglades up close. Instruction and briefing was thorough and very well done, equipment is good (Sea to Summit!) and the expedition kayaks were in great condition and easy to handle. Highly recommend!

We had a positive, fun and enjoyable experience doing the kayaking in the Everglades. Kim was very friendly, and has a lovely chatty personality. She collected us from our hostel in the morning and drove us to the recreational area. Kelly & Kim were experts at their job, and they explained what we had to do and all the necessary details. Overall, we had the best time and would highly recommend doing this activity if you’re visiting Noosa!! 😊

We had an amazing experience at Kanu Kapers, Kym collected us from our hostel and dropped us back to the door once we were finished. She was so smiley and helpful the whole way through. The kayak itself is so beautiful, you are provided with a dry bag and an Eski which are both very handy! Everyone working there was so lovely and made our experience very enjoyable

Two older ladies with limited kayaking experience and slightly dubious weather. Apparently makes for a great day out. Took our time and enjoyed the spectacular scenery! Enjoyed so much I am doing it again in March with 5 other friends. Recommended for this with reasonable fitness even if into your 60s!

We did the self guided one day experience and it was amazing! My friends and I loved every minute of it. The Kanu Kapers team were so helpful and professional. Our kayaks were in excellent condition and handled the waterway and different conditions extremely well. They are the best kayaks we have ever paddled and seemed very suitable to this adventure. Kanu Kapers fibreglass expedition sea kayaks seem much more suitable than canoes for this trip. The Everglades are beautiful including the upper river which is pristine and the lake is equally interesting and lovely. We saw sea eagles and sting rays on the lake and lots of birds and koalas from our kayak. We stopped for a lovely picnic at figtree point and had a refreshing swim in the narrows. I highly recommend this trip and we will definitely be back to do the 3 day camping, kayaking and hiking adventure! Thank you for a great day Kanu Kapers

We were looking forward to this trip but it turned out to be a dangerous disappointment. We are young, sporty and reasonably adventurous, but this was too much. We had to be rescued. We wanted to cancel the trip due to bad weather forecast (floods, wind and storms) but we were told that no refund is possible and that they advice us to come, since the weather will be ok and we‘ll have fun. After 1 hour in the water the weather conditions were so severe we had to seek shelter and called the company to ask wether it is safe to continue. We were more or less told to get our s*** together and be adventurous by vivien (boss of company). So we did continue and the way back to the meeting point was nearly impossible and dangerous. Waves, heavy rain, no visibility and very physically demanding. We were very happy to see the guide coming for our rescue when we didn’t show up in time. She seems to be the only reasonable person in this company who confirmed the conditions were too extreme. We think a refund after all this would only be fair, however no one ever picked up the phone to offer any explanation. We were avoided. We are ok with having no views, but to be put in danger is not ok. The people who lead this company shouldn’t be allowed to. Book with someone else.

Somewhat hard to rate the experience as we were hit by an unexpected storm while out on the lake, so I recommend checking weather forecasts if one is at all concerned about being out on the lake in non-optimal conditions. What was a very calm day turned into a rather exciting trip with pretty extreme weather and difficult windy conditions. I would say that normally the experience is rather relaxing. I can say that Kanu Kapers gets an A+ for ensuring the safety of participants and making sure they get back to their accomodations.

We loved our one day self guided tour to Noosa Everglades. We arrived at the launch site and was met by Leisel, who had our kayaks, eskies (we had our own ice bricks) and dry bags ready. After giving us clear instructions, and a very handy map, Leisel sent us off to explore Lake Cootharaba and the Upper Noosa River. The paddle across the lake was worth it - the serenity and beauty of the Everglades is something to be experienced. We stoppped at Fig Tree Point for our morning tea and first swim, would have been happy to stay here for the day but we knew we had more to see! We ventured up almost to Harry's Hut, pulling into a nice spot for our picnic lunch (self catered) another lovely swim. Before we knew it, it was time to start paddling back. Save a little bit of energy for the paddle back across the lake, but fear not if a bit choppy... it's that shallow you could probably walk back!! A great day out, good value for money. We are planning an overnight tour next!

The river was beautiful and reflective, the weather perfect. Loved seeing the wildlife, so many kingfishers and stingrays, just had to admire the old trees and lush nature. Amazing camping and swimming. Would Do It Again.
