My wife and I had a fantastic day on the wine tour with Tim in early March. Although Swan Valley is the second oldest wine region in Australia after Hunter Valley, its wines are less well known than neighbouring Margaret River. Due to global warming, the vineyards have introduced various heat resistant varieties from Spain, Portugal and Italy such as Verdelho, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and others in recent years, and they offered great pleasant surprises. Three of the four wineries that we visited were boutiques, allowing more cosy conversations and in-depth exchanges. In contrast, the winery that we visited for lunch was too big and too commercialised even though the food at lunch was decent. Tim has a lot of personal life experiences to share having lived in France and Europe for a number of years before coming back to Australia. It was a very enjoyable tour.

Really great tour - would thoroughly recommend. Tim has chosen 4 very different vineyards so there is a nice variety, and the lunch options were excellent with very generous portion sizes.
