Our experience with Steve from GPT was outstanding. I wish I could give him 6 stars!! Steve went above and beyond to make this the best tour for my family and I for 2020!!! Everyplace Steve took we loved. Travelled with husband and teenager and we can't say enough about our dining experience and all of our stops from cafe and scones , ice cream, and bush walk, best places to take photos ! The helicopter and visit along the 12 Apostles was stunning and breathtaking. Don't miss out! Steve was professional, funny and overall made our experience the best ever!!!!

Steve from GPT guide went above on beyond. This was the best tour experience in Melbourne. The customised package from the start to finish was exceptional. Steve made even my 14 year old love the helicopter and dining experience. Some good laughs along Great Ocean Road and amazing views along the bush walks. The morning stop at Cafe with the best scones and jam we have ever tried!!! We loved ever place Steve took us. OMG the ice cream stop was a winner for our kid!!! Wish I can give 6 stars as Steve was exceptional at ensuring we had everything we needed to make this day the best day in 2020!!!! Thank you Steve for an amazing day!!!

Steve from GPT was great to work with and was a fantastic tour guide. I am the type that likes to do as many things as possible and Steve created an agenda that helped us do and see all the things we wanted. He was very accommodating, polite, and professional. Steve was flexible with timing since some locations we wanted a little longer time at and others we were ok to move along. Steve was great at giving us the background and history to many of the locations and answered many questions. Wouldn't hesitate to book a tour with him again.

I’ll start with my guide, Brendan. He is fantastic! That made a lot of difference in the entire experience. This entire trip was land and air by chopper. I don’t really know how long supposedly was the air part of it (tour description says 45 mins). Weather did not permit much of the helicopter ride. It was about 15 mins. The rest of the entire more-or-less 12-hour journey was driving, from Melbourne, along the coastal Ocean Rd, which is breathtaking. We stopped by a lighthouse, a surfing spot, and for lunch along the way before heading back. I picked seafood Lunch was great, loved the fish and mussels. I opted for the recommended award-winning chocolate ice cream for dessert. The return trip to Melbourne was inland. Brendan made the effort to spot some creatures. I got a glimpse of a Koala perched up a tree. No kangaroos I could clearly see (besides I’m myopic, a.k.a. nearsighted). The chopper ride was over the National Park where 12 Apostles is a part of. Then we headed back to Melbourne. This is a private tour, just by me by myself in a Merc van with Wi-Fi and some essential amenities. (Full disclosure: Tour price per person didn’t change wether I booked for 1 or more people at the point of booking this activity.) The entire trip was approximately US$1,900. It seems a bit overpriced to me, comparing it to similar experiences in Barcelona, New York City, Grand Canyon, Queenstown, Sydney. This is an ADDENDUM to my earlier Review. The Tour Operator issued me a partial compensation for about US$390 for the missed flight due to weather restriction. The Tour Description is pretty vague to me, as follows (copied from online and pasted here). Overview - 45 Minute flight saves you time and shortens the journey - Mercedes Benz Luxury vehicle - Avoid the crowds by travelling in a 'reverse' direction - Express 9.5hrs. Leave Melbourne later, return earlier. - *Fine dining seafood restaurant lunch with wine overlooking the ocean I wasn’t paying attention at the time. I just reviewed this tour description when I wrote this addendum today. I’m not sure really what that 45-min flight and saving time part meant. Now, I thought the return trip was by helicopter flight and not by car to get the entire travel time down to 9.5 hours. We took nearly 12 hours from hotel pickup to dropoff at Melbourne Star. So it’s not really an Express trip as described. Overall, I think it was still way overpriced, but good experience. There is a similar tour In Viator that would take 11.5 hours and 15-min flight (very similar to what actually happened in my case due to weather restrictions) for under US$1,090 for a solo traveler like in my case. I dropped the star rating down to 3 and changed some adjectives for the substantial discrepancies in the tour description and the actual experience.
