Thank you to Phillip for making the journey so entertaining. We had the best time you were great. Also 👩🏼‍⚖️👩🏼‍⚖️👩🏼‍⚖️ And thank you to Vlad for taking us around Skopje

Nice small group...only 3 of us ..The driver Mr Philip was so kind to bring us to the mountain side at Macedonia where we can see the nice view of sun set and nice cathedral on top of the mountain.

Skopje is a nice add-on to your Bulgarian experience and very different from Sofia. This small country, formerly a republic of Yugoslavia is very rich and alive with history. This is a small group by van and a nicer experience than with a large bus tour. Filip from Bulgaria gave us a run-down of Bulgarian history and Vlado our guide in Skopje gave insight in North Macedonian history. Our time at border crossing went smoothly due to less tourist traffic this time of year. This is a very long day, but is a memorable tour.

Great walking tour with local guide in Skopje who was very informative. You pass by the museum, but don't actually visit it. A bit of a long drive, although multiple chances to stop for breaks as needed.

Great trip. Very long day. Some travellers made us over an hour late to get to city so we were quite rushed and limited for the tour there. Our border crossing was on the average side-- this can also affect your arrival times --we were lucky. The local guide in Skopje did his best with the shortened time he had. We did take ample time for a quaint sit down lunch. Phillip, the main guide, was a safe driver, helpful, knowledgeable and talkative. We even stopped quickly to see a famous monastery on our return trip. Experienced a beautiful sunset there! I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Hindsight -- I would have loved to spend two days in Skopje and maybe see the nearby lakes. Next time!

Skopje is a very beautiful and culturally rich city. Lots to see in one day. The tour was very informative but it would have benefited from following the schedule to allow enough time for lunch. Also, the restaurant we were recommended for lunch was dirty and the food was inedible. Other than the issue with lunch, the tour was well worth it.

Booking was easy, the meeting point was clear, and the journey and tour were good. Everything went as expected and it was a nice getaway from Sofia. I'd recommend that future travelers get water and/or a snack before starting the walking tour. We didn't have a break for food until hours after arriving. Also, be sure to pay attention to how to return to the meeting point. My group didn't realize that we wouldn't be taken back to the starting point, so there was some confusion about how to get back. Overall, however, this was a good trip.

Our guild was really knowledgeable with excellent English. Answered questions. The beginning was at a steady pass and then rushed. 12 hours is really not enough time. It’s 4 hours each way so that leaves you with 4 hours and out of this we had 2 stop breaks on the way up and down, which we all needed. Our driver was excellent, very friendly, asked us how we would like our breaks and if we felt that was enough time, really took consideration into he’s passengers. We returned back 2 hours late and no fault as to our driver and yet he was really relaxed.

We had a van and just 4 people on the trip so it was very comfortable. Our driver was Georgi and he was really great. Everything went smooth with him and he told us all about the relationship between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. He also told us to make our own opinion though and ask our local North Macedonian guide in Skopje about the same issues and see what he says. Our guide of Skopje was Smile (smeeleh). He was born and raised in Skopje and was really passionate about his country and gave us great insights about the political situation of North Macedonia and their relations with Bulgaria (mostly opposite of what Georgi said). I didn’t have much knowledge of the Balkans and former Yugoslavia before this so I’m glad I really learned a lot. Smile loved to talk but the tour was still great. We had nice food in the Bazaar. Drive back was good. Skopje is an amazing city and I highly recommend a visit there. Amazing monuments and culture.

A long, but well worthwhile day. An easy way to visit another country, and is close by to Sofia. Skopje was a very pleasant surprise. Beautiful buildings, an interesting museum in the old railway station, and the old town side streets and restaurants. Would recommend a visit.
