Product description
Start your tour from Vasil Levski Museum, where you can admire artworks related to his life and legacy, historical documents, photographs and literary works dedicated to the man known as the Apostle of Liberty. Then visit the Holy Mother of God Orthodox Church where Vasil Levski was a singer and acolyte for four years. Next, get to know the culture of Karlovo by visiting many houses that showcase many traditional crafts.
At Buhalov Inn House you can attend a coffee tasting, brewed using the “coffee on sand” method, with complimentary rose food products, white jam or fig jam.
Pateva House offers a demonstration of the process of drawing essential oils from a miniature distillery filled with various types of seasonal herbs. Visitors may get their picture taken wearing a traditional folk costume from this cultural region.
At The Raino Popovitch House, visitors can craft their own stamped decorative postcards and make cards out of recycled paper. Print yourself unique certificate using an authentic 19th-century printing press, complete with a wax stamp.
In The White Yard House, you’ll have the opportunity to see a demonstration of various painting practices in the Zograff style and icon painting techniques. Visitors may even create and paint objects out of clay, and dress up tiny wooden dolls in traditional Bulgarian dresses.
After the house visits, you’ll see the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, built in 1847, part of the Bulgarian Revival architecture.
