Product description
We will hunt for black winter truffles in our hazelnut orchard, while also explain all the ins and outs of growing and cooking with black winter truffles (tuber melanosporum). The hunt will take approximately 60-90 minutes.

Loved meeting Casey and her family, they were very friendly and provided great knowledge about truffles and more! Plus the dog Clair was adorable. The food in the restaurant where you are headed to after the hunting is very good. Overall it was very pleasant and different experience. Hope to come back next year!
The truffle hunt experience was unique and very educating. I realized why I haven't had the best experience with truffles before. I finally managed to taste real truffles found in Casey and Angel's orchard. The dish we had right after the hunt was simple and just perfect with the freshest truffles that one could get. Casey is a great host, we all laughed and talked a lot and had a wonderful day. I recommend this experience to foodies and curious people who like to learn more about ingredients and who are interested to experience different aromas and tastes.
It was an amazing, extremely informative and friendly deep dive into the world of truffles by the charming and knowledgeable duo of Casey and Angel (and of course with the lovely help of the dog Claire - the MVP of the truffle hunting journey). I would highly recommend it for a quick weekend getaway activity, for a wee gastronomic adventure and for everyone who wants to learn more about truffles.
Great adventure only an hour and a half away from Sofia! Casey and her husband have a great sense of humor so you will have a lot of fun while truffle hunting. Casey is a great story teller so if you want to learn more about truffles you will have the chance. My favorite part was the truffle and gin tasting.
This alternative gourmet adventure will introduce you to the mysterious world of truffles and their unforgettable aroma and taste. Casey and Angel are fantastic hosts. Hunting with them and their experienced dog was exciting and educational at the same time. After the hunt we got to taste some delicious local specialities with truffles and a glass of exceptional Bulgarian wine. A highly recommended experience!
Went with a group of friends and all of us had a fabulous time following Casey and her team hunt and find truffles! Casey was super knowledgeable and friendly. We found lots of truffles and it was even more exciting to taste them at the end of the excursion. Would recommend to all who want to get out of Sofia and do something in nature. I took away one star as our local Bulgarian friends thought it was too costly to participate.
