As my Moroccan adventure neared its end, I wanted to soak up every last bit of this beautiful country. Today was all about embracing nature's wonders and savoring the local culinary delights, creating a perfect culmination to my solo journey.

My final day in Chefchaouen began with a hearty breakfast at Toda Creperie & Ice Cream. I savored a delicious crepe, filled with local flavors, while enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the eatery. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home as I planned my day. It was the perfect start to an adventure-filled day.

With a full stomach and a sense of excitement, I set off towards Akchour, a scenic area just a short distance from Chefchaouen.

The drive itself was breathtaking, with views of the Rif Mountains and the Moroccan countryside. I couldn't help but reflect on my time in Chefchaouen, a place that had captured my heart with its blue-washed streets and warm hospitality.

Arriving at Akchour, I was immediately struck by the natural beauty of the area. The air was fresh, and the landscape was lush and green, a stark contrast to the blue hues of Chefchaouen. I set off on the trail towards the Grande Cascade D'akchour, eager to witness the stunning waterfall.

The hike was invigorating, with the trail winding along the river and through a vibrant green forest. As I continued my trek, I couldn't help but marvel at the majestic Rif Mountains surrounding me. The trail had some steep parts, but it was manageable, and I welcomed the physical challenge. I made sure to wear my comfortable walking shoes, a decision I was grateful for with every step.

Finally, after a few hours of hiking, I reached the Grande Cascade D'akchour. The sight was simply breathtaking. The waterfall cascaded down from a great height, creating a stunning spectacle of nature's power and beauty. I took my time to soak it all in, capturing photos and simply enjoying the moment.

After spending some time at the waterfall, I began my descent, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by the experience. On the way back, I stopped at a small local spot along the trail and enjoyed a refreshing drink, savoring the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature.
