Our day began early, with a hearty breakfast at the Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de La Macarena itself. As we ate, surrounded by the sounds of the awakening jungle, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Isabella and Sofia were just as eager, their eyes sparkling with anticipation for the adventures that lay ahead.

We had seen incredible sights, learned about the history and culture of this region, and, most importantly, spent quality time together as a family.

There were moments of unexpected challenges, too. During our exploration of the park, we encountered a brief but heavy downpour. We were caught off guard, without proper rain gear. We huddled under a large tree, laughing as the rain soaked us to the bone. It was one of those moments that, in retrospect, becomes a cherished memory, a reminder of our shared adventure.

I couldn’t help but reminisce about my childhood in Armenia. Growing up, I spent countless hours exploring the countryside, marveling at the landscapes. This trip to Caño Cristales and Serranía de La Macarena felt like a return to those roots, a reminder of the simple joys of nature and family. It was a chance to share a piece of my heritage with Isabella and Sofia, to show them the beauty of the land I once called home.

Tomorrow, we plan to visit Caño Piedras and MIRADOR CRISTALISTO. I've heard so much about these places, and I'm excited to see what they have in store. Of course, it’s always wise to stay informed and heed the advice of local authorities. But the change is remarkable, a testament to the resilience and determination of the Colombian people.
