Today marked the seventh day of my solo photography journey in the Merzouga Region, and it was all about immersing myself in the local culture and flavors. I ventured beyond the dunes to connect with the people and uncover the hidden gems of this desert landscape. It was a day of exploration, from engaging with local tour companies to discovering unique fossils and minerals.

My morning started with a hearty breakfast at CAFE RESTAURANT TENERE. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the sweet scent of Moroccan pastries. As the day drew to a close, I found myself at Resturant Nora for dinner. The restaurant exuded a warm and inviting ambiance, with soft lighting and traditional Moroccan décor. I ordered a couscous dish, a staple of Moroccan cuisine, consisting of fluffy semolina grains topped with a medley of vegetables and tender meat. The flavors were delicate yet satisfying, a perfect ending to a day of culinary exploration. As I dined, I reflected on the day's experiences, feeling grateful for the opportunity to connect with the local culture and discover the hidden gems of Merzouga.

I might even stop at Merzouga sky camp for a drink, if time permits. I am also hoping for more clear skies, so I can try out the portable solar charger that I forgot to pack.
