I had the very good fortune of completing two tours with Svetlana: a two hour walking tour of old city and the food experience tour. Both tours were informative and fufilling! But there are tours…and then there are tours. What separated these experiences from most was the quality of the guide. Svetlana is uniquely knowledgeable and she clearly has a passion to share her experience of Tallinn with those that seek to discover it. More importantly, perhaps, she is a warm and kind person who is able to breathe life and understanding into this culturally complex, yet beautiful space, in this world we all share.

Anastasia was an amazing and kind guide; so knowledgeable and combined both food and history stories into the tour. I really liked that we visited places off the beaten path; as a solo traveller, this was a great way to see parts of the city that I wouldn’t have ventured to on my own. The portions sizes were perfect; not too much, not too little and I really liked the mixture of food and drink stops. Thoroughly recommend for groups or solo travellers.

I had an earlier tour and we tried our best to get back to meeting point but police were blocking road. My guide called him and explained I was walking fast to get there. In 2 min I was there and no one around. I texted him I was in a dream shirt with a walking stick held high in air. Nothing No text back about meeting them somewhere. I finally spotted a different guide and she said Roman went around that corner. Went that way and finally he came up Street a few doors down and reminded me I was 18 minutes late. That after I texted him I already paid for trip. Went to meet other 3 guests and kept saying how late I was. I was only 7 minutes late and the other guide did tell him I was racing to meeting point which was not clear where in the square. The rest of the tour seemed like it was just a job to get through. Another guest was slower and I stayed with her while he raced ahead with other 2. He was showing them highlights of where we were. I pointed out we could not hear him. He replied oh I was not saying anything. After the last stop he said that’s it. I told him I didn’t know where I was and we weren’t even back at the meeting point. He shrugged and ran off. Another guest helped me back until I knew where I was going so would not get lost.

Lovely and knowledgeable guide who took us through food, history and places we never would have found ourselved

The food tour was a great history lesson with unconventional tastings for us (Americans). If you are a conservative, non-adventurous eater you may want to reconsider, however. Our family appreciated the different foods, and learning about how they are tied to the Estonian culture.

We did a tour with Dasha. She was very informative and shared lots of info and stories with us. We tried lots of yummy and new foods, all while learning about beautiful Tallinn

Giving a 5 rating because of Roman, his passion for beautiful Tallinn,, the excellent locations and the delicious food. The tour was very interesting and wonderful! The logistics were not wonderful but I’m not down-scoring Roman’s tour because these weren’t his arrangements. 1/ I was notified exactly one month prior to my booked tour date to join the group as they were waiting on me. Too early! Dismissed by the tour company contact as a typo 2/ was given two different locations to meet the tour group - multiple emails to resolve which one and they were miles apart! 3/ was notified several hours before the tour was to start that the meeting time had changed one hour later. Was told that information had been given to me a month prior but the only contacts that day were around the premature notification due to the typo. Subsequent confirmations including texts, emails and the online ticket all contained the original time (and multiple meeting points)

I enjoyed my tour with Roman he took me to the best places to eat. I am inquisitive by nature and had lots of questions and without hesitation Roman knew the answers esp around Vana Tallinn links to Jamaica :) No hesitation for me to recommend this tour as I would HAPPILY do it again for all yummy food and drink and samples that I got to taste
