This is a self guided tour. You are on your own from the very beginning. Check-in at Helsinki terminal requires confirmation and security numbers. You should go to the counter to complete the check-in and get boarding passes. Once at Tallin, you are again on your own. Better to build an itinerary in advance depending on the trip duration. Uber works. Most of the tourist attractions are at the city centre. Good place for shopping. A bit cheaper compared to Helsinki. Sinsay store at Ülemiste keskus is a good place for clothing and accessories/shoes.

Excellent ship and ran on time. Shopping is excellent on board and very cheap compared to prices in Helsinki.

The ferry was very spacious, and plenty of seats were available. There was a restaurant, food stall, supermarket, duty free, a few slot machines. They were all beyond my expectation. With all they offered, the two hour journey from Helsinki to Tallin seemed not that long. We took some pictures with nice view along the way. The ferry was quiet enough that made me fell asleep.

The Ferry from Helsinki to Tallin was amazing . The ferry was as nice as a cruise ship. And then to be able to walk around and have lunch in Tallin made for a perfect day!!

Very comfortable and easy sailing between Helsinki and Tallinn. A very clean and modern ship with excellent facilities and a really helpful crew.

We took this overnight luxury liner to cruise through Baltic Sea from Helsinki to Stockholm. Boarded in South Harbor of Helsinki (Olympia Terminal). It was huge ship (3000 passengers) with many floors (13 Decks) with promenade (142m long in deck 7), shopping (Duty Free), lounges, restaurants and what not. We reserved A-Class cabins for couple, pretty comfortable for a night nap. Had a Grande Buffet dinner (Massive options and Wine from Tap). Breakfast. This (or similar) trip is a must if you are visiting Scandinavia. With an extra charge (90 Euro) you may ship your car along with you if you want. Costs you 300 Euro for similar class travel inclusive of Dinner and Breakfast for a couple.

We had the most amazing day.The boat is just fantastic, we had the buffet breakfast which was great. Tallin is a beautiful medieval town. I would rate this 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone.

Modern airport style Terminal 2. Tickets were purchased online before arriving in Helsinki and picked up at passport check in. Large open plan pre departure area easily accommodated the large number of foot passengers for Tallinn. Scheduled departure was 10.30 am but ship MS Star left @ 10.15 - be early. The ship is modern very clean with plenty of lounges / shops / restaurants. On arrival in Tallinn used taxi to visit Old Town as there is a lot of construction and road / rail crossings in port area. 4 hours is adequate if you just want a flavour of Tallinn old town with a break for lunch. Return on MS Megastar was scheduled for 4.30pm and again left early @ 4.15pm

We sailed on the MegaStar and what an amazing vessel she was. So new and shiny with the latest upto date interior. The best ferry I’ve ever travelled on with lots of places both indoors and out to sit and enjoy the air with a drink or food. Lots of food options and a vast shopping area. You’re not going to get bored on this sailing!!

Very disappointed with Silja Lines policy: Club One = Scammers!! Because the bonus points aren’t not available on higher seasons, it means : you need to spend money. Silja Lines swimming in gold and really don’t care about costumers, and to doing something better. Very Rude personal without good manners and quality service who is very crap. Cabins are ridiculously small and very expensive without any kind of sound proof. Restaurant expensive without quality food. Very industrial quality. « Good » cabins like Commodore m, etc… are also ridicule very expensive more than a 4 stars good hotel los room. AVOID Silja lines and save your money!!! Take instead Viking Lines that is almost 50% more cheaper!!!!!
