Awful. We booked a tour with them for New Year's. They canceled it about 10 days out. We booked another day with them. They called, while we were in Paris and 2 days before the outing and want to move it again. We settled on our 3rd date with them. Paid. We went to the meeting place. NO SHOW. We never again heard from them and are applying for our money back from the credit card company. BAD BAD BAD BAD

It was great wandering the streets of Paris with the guide pointing out many things. The jazz session at the Duc du Lombards was very good, the food quite good.

We had a wonderful tour. Our guide gave insightful history and being a musician himself helped cover the current jazz scene. We felt comfortable with our guide while walking through many areas of the city we had not visited before.
The jazz club had a front row table reserved for us. Great tour!

This never happened. I was at the appointed meeting spot and was there for an hour, never finding anyone that remotely resembled a guide. I had left several voice mails that night and had sent email to no avail. I received no communication in return. This was extremely disappointing to me.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on the tour. Laurent had a rich background of knowledge of all places we visited - he made St Germain come alive with jazz greats of the past. The club was fantastic - an intimate gathering of music lovers enjoying some outstanding New Orleans jazz. We will definitely go on this tour again.

Excellent show, great guide and outstanding evening in Paris. Perfect for jazz lovers and history buffs looking to understand World War I and II night life and entertainment. High quality dinner and bottle of wine, too.

Laurent was a very informative guide who led us around the Saint Germain des Pres area, showing us jazz clubs and filling us in on the history of jazz in Paris. The dinner and music at the Duc Des Lombards was fantastic! The Joscho Stephan Trio were great. I highly recommend this club, the attentive waiter, the great music. Really worthwhile evening.

Worst evening I have had, After all the drama, of the cancelling my ticket last minute, all I got
- a tour with just me,
- was a walk around for an hour not 3 as promised,
- stopped for a drink which I paid for both of us
- dumped at a Concert left to sit on my own, I thought this was going to be a tour with other people.

After I specifically told the guide my preferences being Trad or blues, I totally dislike Modern Jazz and put it in the same category as Rap Crap or Techno rubbish, that I didnt consider it music just noise as there is nothing tuneful about it, I was assured that this would not be the case.
- The food was mediocre at best
- I had to send the wine back because it was undrinkable they then after complaining sent me a drinkable one
- To top it off Modern Jazz ! I asked if there was going to be other music I was told that this was it,

So I left after the first bracket, my ears couldnt take any more, I feel totally ripped off. I thought that it was going to be a walking tour around different Jazz clubs experiencing different music etc. instead all it was, was a walk around closed venues, and just pointed as to where it happens, and left at the worst venue, my ears are still recovering.

It was just my husband and me and we had a great time with Laurent. He was very knowledgeable about the jazz and music history in Paris. He also pointed out other items of interest during our walk. The Jazz club we went to was packed, but we got right in and had a great table. The Jazz was outstanding and the food was good too! this was one of the highlights of our trip and would do it again.

This tour did not deliver either our expectations which we formed from the Viator tour description and did not deliver some events that were outlined on the tour description. The live performance was not Jazz. While the performers were skilled musicians It was not even close to being a jazz performance. The performers during the show made the comment in a joking manner we have been told that if we want to be paid tonight, we need to play some jazz. They did cover one jazz standard in their own genre but it was still not jazz. The tour description states sit back and let the smooth sultry sounds of jazz flow over you, you expect a jazz performance. That's why we booked this tour and it is not unreasonable to expect a jazz performance. On the pre-performance walk the tour description states you would walk past and stop outside jazz venues and the guide would explain their significance in the Paris jazz scene. Fair enough. But when the tour description states You would visit historic jazz clubs. Stopping at 7pm outside a club that does not open until 9pm is not visiting. The tour description also states that stop for drink at a latin quarter cafe and soak up the atmosphere. This did not occur. The walk went from the starting point to the live performance venue without stopping. I must point out the guide was very knowledgable and personable, even if he did leave us form the live venue at around 7:45 to 8:00. This tour is not cheap, we paid 425 Aud, 300 eurosWe were happy to any this in order to experience what we love, jazz music, in a city renowned for its jazz history and scene. Now if we had paid the cover charge at the door of 30 euros each and the dinner cost of 40 euros each, total cost of 140 euros, the cost of the 1 hour walking tour cannot justify the balance of 160 euros. On our Europe trip we have been on over 23 tours booked through Viator, and this only one has not lived up to the quality tours that Viator deliver and was not value for money.
