Had a great private tour with a very knowledgeable guide (Thomas). The guide picked us up and dropped us off at the train station in Reims, which made it an easy day trip from Paris. We visited some small growers in the champagne region and learned a lot about the champagne production process.

Producers carefully chosen based on request at registration. Impeccably thoughtful and skilled guides native to the area. Comfortable pace. Excellent lunch experience at Le Corbier. Overall, I can’t imagine a reason to choose any other service in this region.

Theo was a wonderful guide. We went to two exceptional family champagne houses. Had a fantastic day and can’t wait for our champagne shipment to arrive at home.

We had the most wonderful visit to Champagne. Perrine was the most welcoming and fun tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and helped us learn all kinds of fun facts while we enjoyed the beautiful region and amazing champagne. We would highly recommend a private tour with Perrine to make the most of your visit to this beautiful part of France.

Perfect cutomer service from start to finish. We booked a private tour with a preset schedule. Clarification of payment, tweaks of the the schedule could be arragend in one quick phone call and some emails. The tour was planned to start at 10:00am with pickup in our Hotel. The guide was waiting at the lobby at 09:50. (This enlightned my german "on time is already late"-heart ;-) ) Martin is a well seasoned guide, a lot of knowledge of facts and dates but is also well connected with the wine grovers you visit and you really get insights in whats going on rather then getting reproduced memorized scripts. TOP guide, highly recommend asking for him. He is also very whitty and got a great sense of humor. It was a "a friend shows you around" experience and not "a guide doing his job". 6 stars out of 5 For lunch went to the A la Francaise Headquarters in the Champagne region, where you can meet also the other groups of the day. While waiting on the Aperitif we had the chance to chat with the owner about his concept of tours. Great guy with some brilliant ideas. Lunch was prepared onsite by their own chef and it was very good. Wine and champagne were included with the lunch. We visited two wineries, and went to many hot spots in the region. Perfect day to get an idea of what to visit and where to go on your one. The weather was not the best, but this is nothing I can blame A la francaise for. Long story short. Great company, great offering. Will recommend you on any occasion. Btw: Is there a chance your Chef can send me the recipe of the meat pie you served Oct 1st? ;-)

This was a wonderfully affordable tour! Martin was an amazing tour guide whose English is perfect! Martin went above and beyond for our group (I was the only single in a group of 3 couples) and we all had an informative blast!

We (my wife, college-aged daughter, and I) spent an incredible 3 days on a private tour of Champagne with A la Française — 2 days doing tours and tastings and one day doing a bike trip in the area. We are foodies and serious wine appreciators and this was our first trip to the area. It is not an exaggeration to describe it as the trip of a lifetime. À la Française put together a bespoke schedule for us with private tours of both large, established vintners, such as Ruinart, and small, family owned establishments. The bike tour was amazing with breathtaking scenery and views. Our guide, Martin Boucher, spoke impeccable English, had a wonderful disposition and sense of humor, a deep knowledge a of and passion for wine, and great pride in his home. We learned so much, drank incredible Champagne, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Our guide, Theo, was absolutely amazing! He is so knowledgeable about not only the region (he is a Reims local) but also about the process of making champagne in general. He is super friendly and shares our values of travel and learning from other people and other cultures. I am a curious person by nature and definitely asked the most questions of our group and Theo was very appreciative of that and said it made him feel like he was doing a good job keeping us engaged. This was perhaps the highlight of our 2.5 week vacation in France and I would highly recommend going with this company and requesting Theo!

Martin was our tour guide for our day trip around champagne, and it was one of the best tours we have done. To start off, we have been doing tours around europe for a bit now and this one really stood out. Martin spoke English flawlessly and took the time to explain the terms of French origin as well so we could grasp all the concepts of Champagne creation. We began with a very small, family owned winemaker whose cellars and equipment gave us the best introduction possible to the process. Martin made sure we knew the day was ours and he would explain everything until we understood, regardless of the time, so that made us feel very comfortable about asking questions for clarification and out of curiosity. We went through the winemaking process, the storing process and the corking process in great detail which gave us a perspective on how much effort and tradition goes into this great occupation. After the first stop we arrived at the burial place of Dom Perignon, which was breathtaking. Martin took us to the perfect photo opportunity and gave us a short tour of the area as well! Next we went to have lunch (an incredible 3 course meal of small pastries, quiche, and other dishes) and paired it with a delicious champagne and rose champagne. Now to the really cool part… Our last stop was a bit of a larger champagne production. Martin took the time again to explain the differences in process behind making Rose champagne and traditional champagne and how that was created in a bit of a larger operation - this was fascinating to see after seeing the smaller operation and having a ground level of how things worked. The real treat was Martin spoke with the winemaker who was very kind and upon us doing the champagne tasting broke out a 1981 vintage bottle of champagne unlike anything we have every had before (pictured below). Truly a once in a lifetime treat that I do not think we would experience without having someone like Martin who clearly has top relations with everyone we came in contact with (I mean everyone said hello to him and had a story about him, pretty incredible). Overall we cannot recommend Martin more. Book this tour if you are looking for an all encompassing day on how champagne is made, how to taste it, and a great amount of fun as he is a very personable guy. Looking forward to our next tour, which we will most definitely book around his schedule.

We've just concluded a private tour of Champagne as well as Burgundy - both were spectacular! Champagne offered a private tour (!) of the Tattinger tunnels, plus tastings at smaller Champagne houses in Ay and Epernay. Martin was a fabulous guide, full of information, helpful in every way, and great English. Martine provided a very thorough tour of Reims. In Burgundy, Johan was great in helping us navigate Beaurne and explaining the details of wine making in Burgundy. Again, his English was great. Cannot recommend enough these private tours. We added cooking classes in both Dijon and Reims so we have some great recipes to take home. Highly recommend!
