We read about this musuem on Trip Advisor and we are thrilled that we took the time to visit. We learned so much about Bordeaux wine. Then the pleasant ending is that we had a wine tasting and the museum associate did a wonderful job explaining the wine regions. She is terrific. If you are in the Bordeaux city, take a couple hours and visit this museum. Well worth it. The price is very reasonable.

Visited on a Sunday using our Bordeaux City Pass. This museum is situated in vaulted cellars, the tour was self guided but we were provided with losts of information including audio guide on phone. It took us through the whole history of wine in Bordeaux ,it is different from the Cite du Vin, which we also enjoyed,in that it is more intimate. At the end of the tour we had a tutored tasting with a small group of others, this was fun and interesting, after the tasting as we hadn't finished our tour we were able to stay on and finish this Staff were all friendly and helpful

Lovely small museum of not only this great area's wine but of the origins of wine trade. There many interesting tidbits. E.g. I loved the price list of the Russian Imperial Court's purveyor. Also, the old streets leading to the museum are lovely.

Get the inside story of Bordeaux wine, you will not be disapointed. Travel back in time via an underground cellar and all that occurred therein during the inception of the wonderful Bordeaux wine boom. Ticket includes two sample tastings with oral Q+A.

Very interesting and a good guide during wine tasting. Her English was very good and the information we got during the tasting was very imformative, fun and interesting.

Very well organised and cosy museum, telling the story of wine merchants in Bordeaux. There is a free English audio guide to accompany you. The wine tasting was excellent too, with a very knowledgeable sommelier who gave us lots of information about merlot and claret wines.

We love real museums, set in real places, with lots of real stuff - preferably a little dusty or dingy around the edges. And one that makes you read to figure out what's going on. This museum is exactly that. In a real building that used to store wine when Bordeaux city was thriving with the wine trade. And quite a story it is - I'll let you visit the museum to take it all in. And with a very well curated wine tasting as part of the visit, all for 10 euros, this place should be number one on your list things to do in Bordeaux!

This was a cute little wine museum, which featured a lecture/wine tasting focusing on the wines of Bordeaux. We found the lecture to be informative and enjoyed the local wine. One the tasting concluded, we walked through the museum portion of the space, which is very much wine-centric.
