Day two of our alternative look at the World Cup of team building
Latvia
A team once led from back by the great Igor Stephanovs didn’t make it to the World Cup in Qatar, but they are a top player in the team building World! A great place adrenaline filled fun like go karting, quad biking and laser tag, as well as excellent beer tours.
World Cup Standing – A strong contender if based purely on extreme activities!
Lithuania
Much travelled footballer Tomas Danilevicius is no longer gracing the green grass of the football pitch, and Lithuania will miss his goals! Vilnius is the perfect base for all manor of team building activities including scavenger hunts, winter sports, and off-road driving.
World Cup Standing – another of the Baltic states pushing to get out of the groups with some extreme driving activities

Luxembourg
One of the football minnows of Europe, and yet to make a major impact on the football scene. This tiny European nation isn’t known for team building activities generally but is a World leader in virtual cookery activities
World Cup Standing – Can always cause a shock with a silver medal if based on virtual activities
Norway
You may ask that how are Norway not in the World Cup when two of the best players in the World (Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard) wear the famous kit? Oslo is one of the best cities in Scandinavia, and has amazing tours of Fjords and team building sailing opportunities.
World Cup Standing – can hold their own against the top teams especially when sailing is included
Malta
One of the lowest ranked football teams for FIFA and UEFA, but an important part of the Mediterranean corporate event scene. Great weather, watersports and top hotels make it an ideal away trip especially out of the main holiday season.
World Cup Standing – watersports make Malta a contender to escape the group stages
Romania
This current team does not have a star like the legend that is Georgi Hagi, but they can often be fun to watch with plenty of style. As a team building destination, Romania has plenty on offer including wildlife and nature, cool tours in former Soviet vehicles, and obviously tours and experiences based around the “other” legend of Romania; Count Dracula!
World Cup Standing – Could cause a shock if they use the spirit of the amazing Georgi Hagi
Slovakia
A team that has a better chance of making a European Championships with some excellent individual players playing in some of Europe’s top teams. The capital Bratislava is a top destination in Central Europe for a range of team building experiences like breweries, and paintball.
World Cup Standing – An interesting outsider with great transport links

Slovenia
The capital of Slovenia; Ljubljana is one of the jewels of Europe, and the perfect location for a breakaway from the office. Not a country known for football, but plenty of fantastic activities like white water rafting, food tasting, and the incredible Lake Bled.
World Cup Standing – happy to compete with anyone on their day and get out of the group stage with plenty of heart
Sweden
They may not have the legends of Limpar and Ljungberg anymore but would be very disappointed to be missing out on a World Cup place. Sweden has some fantastic outdoor experiences, as well as the hospitality and venues of Stockholm to make it a great team building destination.
World Cup Standing – individual flair to push for a semi-final place
That's the end of the look at the alternative World Cup of the team building for the teams that missed out on Qatar, tomorrow we start on the group stages...
