1. Visit a Christmas market

Why not treat your team to a guided tour of a wonderful Christmas market? Popular in many parts of Northern Europe. Allow a guide to show you the best in mulled wine, Christmas gifts, and seasonal treats. The perfect way to spend time with colleagues and escape from the office.

2. Go and see the Christmas Lights

Many great cities and towns around the world go for major festive light decorations at this time of year. If you can book in time, many standard bus tour operators switch to festive tours highlighting the best lights on display and will provide history and knowledge of the area.
3. Get together for a Winter pub tour

As the long nights draw in, many pubs and bars become beacons of warmth and hospitality as the temperatures drop. Take your group on a guided tour around town visiting the best winter watering holes. Mulled wine, dark brews, logs on the fire and perhaps some Christmas tunes playing, cheers!
4. Enjoy some mulled wine as a group

Mulled or spiced wine is a traditional drink served around the festive season in Northern Europe, especially Germany and Scandinavia. A combination of red wine with various mulling spices and sometimes raisins, served hot or warm. Mulled wine serves as a great end of work surprise in the weeks prior to Christmas. Low cost but can create great winter memories.

5. Get baking for Christmas

Christmas is a true period of indulgence, so why not book a festive cookery or bakery class for your team? Many cookery schools will create seasonal menus for the festive period. Perhaps some tips of preparing the perfect Christmas dinner? Can you bake a Christmas cake for your family gathering? Why not look for a class based around baking Gingerbread men?
6. Silent Night? No silent disco this year!

The Christmas number one song maybe something from the past, but there are still so many Christmas “crackers” that have entertained us year in year out. “All I want for Christmas”, “Santa Claus is coming to town”, “Last Christmas”, and “White Christmas” are just a few classics. But people can get a bit bored hearing the same tunes in the office, so why not book a silent disco and let people choose for themselves?
7. Go online for a festive escape game

Many escape games convert their story at this time of year around the stories associated with Christmas. An ideal way of engaging remote workers from around the world in the true spirit of Christmas!  Can your team save Santa?

8. Bring joy to the World with charity carol singing

Carol singing is a staple of the Christmas celebrations and could be a great activity for your team. Look for volunteers, and perhaps look to sing and collect for a chosen charity. Perhaps Children who are in need at this time of year or the homeless. There are so many classic songs to choose from including “Jingle bells”, “Silent night”, “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer”, “Joy to the world”, “Deck the halls”, “We wish you a merry Christmas” and “Santa Claus is coming to town”
9. Be creative with Christmas arts and crafts

Very similar to cookery schools, arts and crafts schools will often switch their schedule at this time of year to festive decorations. Look for a craft company near you (or who will visit your workplace) and can provide festive classes from wreath making, Christmas tree decorations, Christmas card making, or candle making (with all those warm and spicy Christmas aromas. The perfect way to either decorate your workplace or for your employees to customize their houses.
10. Watch a classic Christmas movie together

What is your favourite Christmas movie? “Home Alone”? “Home Alone 2 – Lost in New York”? “Elf”? “It’s a wonderful Life”? “Miracle on 34th Street”? or “A Christmas Carol”? and is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie? Why not have the discussion in the office, choose your favourite and hire a screen projector as a winter treat for the workplace! Book out the meeting room, order some pizza and get involved in a Christmas classic.
