This was an excellent tour! Lyndsey was very friendly, warm and engaging and we learned so many interesting things about the history of the pubs, Britain and Cambridge itself. We felt like Lyndsey was our friend and we had such a fun night we didn’t want it to end! This is a really unique and original tour not to be missed, you’ll love it as much as we did!

The tour was excellent, presenting a mix of historical facts and local anecdotes. Josh was a great guide --- he loves history and knows how to communicate it well. It was also interesting to hear what it is like being a student at Cambridge. As another reviewer has noted, highly recommended to do this on your first night in Cambridge. One of us does not drink, yet we still had a great time!

A fun and informative afternoon with Josh and Lindsay learning about the origins of pubs in Britain and the history of some in Cambridge. While one of the pubs on the tour was too busy the tour was flexible enough to find its way to another location without affecting the enjoyment. Josh and Lindsay have such interesting stories to tell about pubs, Cambridge, university life and themselves that this quickly became like having a drink with old friends you haven’t seen for a while. We would highly recommend the tour and would even be tempted to book it again the next time we’re in Cambridge just to see how Josh is getting on with his PHD!

Lovely way to see a slice of Cambridge, learn about its history and support local businesses. Lindsey was a wonderful guide. Keeping it to a small group allows for real conversation and meeting new people.

I cannot say enough good things about this pub tour! Josh is incredibly personable and hilarious. The tour itself was super interesting, and Josh’s academic background in heritage studies provided a fresh perspective and context that we wouldn’t have gotten elsewhere. This also ended up being one of the best ways to learn about Cambridge, and I wish we could have done this our first night in town. This tour was also an absolute bargain. Would totally do this again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Cambridge.
