Recently, Jeanette guided me around historic Newlyn. She is engaging, articulate and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Newlyn. The history, the artist scene, the fishing industry, the local walks and scenery and more. We went from location to location where she brought what we were looking at to life in a most engaging way. Where the shoreline used to be, where the first quay was built, the derelict ice factory, the fish-market/harbour, the medieval core, the hostelries, the fishmongers and more. She enhanced the experience with a book full of famous paintings and maps from different dates. We paused in many places and she would use a painting or map to show me "how it was". A terrific experience. I gather she can also arrange boat trips and other walks for a group. Superb.
