Appalling service, booked our trip in advance arrived at location start point to see the horses looked fairly rakey and disheveled in themselves, not the images portrayed in Facebook. The horses were hot and bothered. During our stop at the Maltsers Arms we had a cider and watched the horses who with the carriage driver tour operater will, and his conspicuous looking partner wearing a crop top and leggings. We felt looked rather inappropriate for the price we paid, we expected a quality service with dressed livery. To our horror and disgust outside the Malsters Arms Will the coach driver and his partner Rachelle were preparing up of what looked like a line of drugs using a credit card on the seat of the carriage and proceeded to sniff it consciously ducking to avoid detection. Not what you expect for a family tour or a man who was putting our lives in his hands on the carriage. Absolute disgraceful company the pair proceeded to drink and consume drugs throughout our time at the Maltsers Arms, he shouldn’t be allowed to operate a business offering family tours if he conducts himself in this manner with his partner for everyone to see outside. Yes we saw it! We will never use this company again and strongly advise families with children to avoid this poor excuse of a carriage tour.

Purchased a carriage ride through trip advisor well in advance. Finally noticed that the money was returned back to my account and wasn’t sure why; no explanation was given. I was able to find an email address so I emailed the owner to see what happen. The owner responded by apologizing and saying his partner who used to run the internet portion no longer works with him. He then offered a carriage ride a few days later to make up for the internet booking mistake. I immediately replied back and said we’ll take that next scheduled ride. Days went by and no confirmation. I emailed again to see if he could confirm the carriage ride he said we could go on only to hear that “my last email must have gone to his junkmail folder and he’s sorry but he already offered his time to help out a friend with his horse and cart business”. To me he was a dishonorable business owner. Committed to taking us on a carriage ride then found a more lucrative opportunity and bailed on us. This ansome carriage ride link is to a place that has no one to run the bookings. It needs to be removed from online/trip advisor. People come from out of town or country, make plans only to have this carriage company be incompetent and wasting peoples time.

Great communications. Great host (Will). Educational, engaging, and a lovely hour, albeit at £125. Improvements would have been to have a Photoshoot before or after the trip and to offer a celebratory drink for example. Would have loved a drink of Fizz on the journey. Still well worth a 4.

What a beautiful hour spent going around the country lanes of Cornwall in a horse drawn carriage, our handler Will was extremely polite and professional and answered all our questions with thorough and detailed answers. Just to pat the horses was special, an absolute must if you have a spare hour!
