Very much geared towards children rather than adults with most of the place being filled with interactive exhibits, very little in the way of actual vehicles. The museum is just one big hall with a few buses and trains in it, some of which you can sit inside but most are closed off. The stamp trail encouraged you to explore but I saw many kids struggling with it: the stamps were often too high for them to use and too heavy to push, so their parents had to do it for them. Afterward I found out there was no reward for the trail which was disappointing. Very overpriced shop which was a shame as there were many things I would have loved to buy but just couldn't afford.

This is a home run way to spend time in a great location (Covent Garden) for families. From parents to kids, the museum has something for everyone to understand the history of London's public transportation, but with fun interactive games as well. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon here, and you'll come away knowing that much more about London's underground, double-deckers and black cabs.

Came here after going on one of the hidden London tours in charing cross. Was very interesting especially for anyone with an interest in London transport.

Lots of information to learn about the history of the networks around London. Loved the driving the tube experience and loved seeing the old posters for the various networks. Seeing the buses and other artifacts was very interesting.

Great way to spend 2-3 hours. Lots of things for children of all ages to do and see and learn about history of transport and London on general. Great value as kids are free and the adults ticket is an annual pass.

I visited the museum with my 3 yr old grandson at 10 am on Monday morning . Since my last visit several years ago the experience has become more limited . It was very disappointing not to be able to get into and sit inside to experience the old buses and trains . The joy was always to climb up to the top of old double deckers or feel the interiors of different trains . There is now only one train carriage to enter and one small section of a tube train .The double decker bus is a new purpose built wooden one for under 7's with no sense of history . I also found the charge of £24 very expensive for the quality of the experience .

This is a great little museum with lots to see and do especially with young children. The role play areas in particular are very suited to younger children. The little activities, like collecting all the stamps are quite engaging, although a few of the interacting displays were broken and seemed to be for a while. The cafe had a good, if pricey, selection of food and drinks.

I found the museum a bit underwhelming. No option for a day ticket had to purchase an annual pass which was a bit expensive at £24 each. I would say this place is for families with young kids. It was the Saturday of half term when I visited - that was a mistake! Kids running wild everywhere. No space at tables to have a coffee as there were families camped out for the day with pre-packed lunches. I found it a bit boring to be honest. Saw the whole place in around 40 minutes and couldn’t wait to leave as it was so noisy. Lovely eldery gentlemen seemed to be working as volunteers was the best bit.

We hadn't booked so had to queue but we only had about a 10 minute wait. We had a voucher entitling us to 2 for 1 tickets because we had travelled by train. The lady on the counter was very thorough and wanted to see our train tickets which is understandable but her manner was a bit unfriendly and standoffish. All other staff members encountered were friendly and helpful. We came to the transport museum straight after arriving by train to London so we had our suitcase with us. Because of this security wanted to look in it. Luckily they just wanted us to open it up and not search it otherwise I'd have been a bit embarrassed by them taking our clothes and underwear out since the area was not private. Weirdly though they didn't want to look in our holdall. There was a free cloakroom where we could check in our luggage which was good as it meant we didn't have to lug our case around the museum. The museum is quite extensive, set over a number of floors. There was plenty to see and do, but it was so busy that there were huge queues for the interactive exhibits. Our daughter enjoyed looking for the stamp points so that she could stamp her card. A few weren't working but we were able to complete the card at the customer services point. We had a good time in the museum but pleased we had a two for one voucher otherwise I'd have found it expensive. it was also a bit too busy for my liking. Children are free however so that was good. Really good gift shop.

This is probably my favourite London museum. You rise to the top floor and step back in time. You go from walking transport, steam trains and all the way up to today and even the future. You can climb aboard different types of transport and there are loads of interactive exhibits. You can drive a tube train too! The poster exhibit was brilliant and you get to see the thought and planning that goes into each and every poster. A huge highlight is the shop. It’s got everything you could possibly want. I loved the tube line distance merchandise and the Elizabeth line merchandise. Staff are helpful and kind. Can’t wait to return.
