This was fabulous. Friends visited us on holiday and we wanted to do something different as we have teenagers. Mark and John were fantastic. Absolutely buzzing during and afterwards. We got drenched, but is so part of this adventure, we got some excellent footage. Will definitely book the longer seal trip next summer and we all can’t wait.
This was a real fun thing to do. John and Co were absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful coastline. Be warned, you will get very wet. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Great trip. Adrenalin rush as the boat bounces on the waves and the splash back is exhilarating and really fun. We were a party of two, 53 yo and a 13 yo, but were with people in their late 60s who had just as much fun. Great to have the history of the coastline and information about the local environmental measures in place. This really enriched it. My only wish is that it was longer. 45 minutes flew by too fast.
This was my first trip out with Jet Adventures and it certainly won't be my last. After a short safety briefing and fitting of lifejackets, we headed down to the purpose designed boat on the South Pier in Lowestoft to experience a 45-minute high speed coastal sightseeing trip. Today we headed south passing the Lowestoft South Beach with excellent views of the Claremont Pier, down to Kessingland and a little beyond, so were level with the cliffs and beach at Benacre / Covehithe. We then did a few high speed turns in the water to keep everyone entertained and a little damp, and then headed back north towards the harbour. On today's run we also headed out to sea, and to see up close the new Kittiwake hotels that had been installed this summer to encourage nesting of these rare seabirds next season. After circumnavigating one of the hotels to get views and photos we then headed back to the harbour, timed perfectly to see the bascule bridge go up, but viewed from the harbour. We also saw one of the unmanned survey boats being driven by remote control from an adjacent vessel, before heading back to the pier. There was plenty of salty spray from the waves at sea, given the winds were moderate with the occasional stronger gust, and the driver of the boat deliberately gave us some high speed turns and sudden stops as some of the people on board wanted to have a 'wet knuckle' experience. There was some great spots of 'airtime' along the coast too, but despite the swell the boat handled it brilliantly with a slightly bumpy but otherwise super stable ride experience. As stated this won't be my last trip with Jet Adventures...I am already booked for a seal watching trip to Scroby Sands in a few weeks, and I can't wait. Great value and fun experience and always a pleasure to support a local family-run business. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike, you just need to book in advance.
It was a lovely morning with bright sunshine and so on. We received a friendly welcome, were fitted with lifejackets, offered waterproofs if we wanted them, which we didn't, and then taken aboard. Our trip took us south towards Kessingland; plenty to see all along the front - the buildings, the beaches, huts, bits of sculpture, with plenty of explanation about this, coastal erosion, sea birds, sand martins, development and so on. Then a return, opening up the speed, to make a curve round the sand banks to see the kittiwake hotels close up. Further bursts of speed took us just north of the harbour with more explanation of the view, the former fishing industry &c. Very good to see Lowestoft from this angle. Back in port, not too much sprayed, we were delighted to have taken this trip.
Fantastic experience . Gift for my husbands birthday. He loved it even saw some seals. John & Mark a brilliant crew. Great detail paid to safety and very family friendly
