We did the Dinky doors self guided tour for my son's 8th birthday... what fun! As it was definitely not Dinky-licious weather that day, we just did the 6 City centre doors but plan to pick up the others in the next few weeks/ months. All of us enjoyed it... the perfect family fun for two big children, 12 year old and 8 year old! Met a few other Dinky door hunters on our route too! A lovely way to see Cambridge, practise map skills and see some splendid dinky doors in the process! Highly recommend!!!

The artwork is fun and imaginative. The installations are mainly in the centre of Cambridge and easy to find with the map. Allow maybe 45 minutes to see them all. A good excuse to traipse around Cambridge.

Really long distance between them, not walkable to all doors. Not recommended sadly. Did spot one door after downloading a different tour and it looked good

We took our 11 year old grandson to Cambridge to do the Dinky Doors tour, or at least part of it. We managed to visit six of the doors, and have a hot chocolate and have a nice Turkish lunch, it was then time to use the guided bus to get back home. The doors all looked in very good condition and once found were very obvious (having been in Cambridge on many many occasions and not seen any of them!) The design of each door and its construction is excellent and we look forward to revisiting to look for the remaining 8 doors, although it looks as though a car journey(s) will be needed! Well done to all involved in this tour in miniture! Slightly disappointed that the map only comes with the printed version and the smaller map that comes electronically cannot be printed. We managed! We look forward to receiving the emails from the Dinky enterprise!

I’ve lived in Cambridge for five years and never get bored with seeing and showing the Dingky Doors to my fiends and families, even to some locals! They are amazing and can brighten your day.

This is an amazing quirky thing for families to do around Cambridge! relive here, so we are doing different areas on different days and our 7 year old is loving it. It would make a great way to walk around Cam for adults too!

There are about 10 - 15 small doors around Cambridge. Finding these doors will effectively give you a tour of Cambridge and cover most of the spots that locals here visit.

We took our 5 year old grandson on the paper version of the experience (aided by the app). He really enjoyed looking out for the various models and liked the tactile nature, although I think he would have liked more moving parts. He was probably a little too young but I am sure as he gets older he will want to go on the hunt to finish finding all the other models.

Love the concept, love the quirkiness, long live stuff like this! Just did the central Cambridge ones, just tricky enough to find (and I’m a local!) Not going to add photos, that would spoil the fun 😊

Wonderful way to see the city! My eleven year old and my bestie found most of the doors while on a trip staying in Cambridge and it was such a creative way to see the city! The doors themselves are of high production value and the stories that go with them are quite eclectic. It helped us to get out of a strictly tourist vibe and just have fun exploring. Going out to Wandlebury was also worth it!
