Nothing memorable - disappointing, needle in a haystack, the whole time in car, didn’t really see anything

My daughter and I had a great day with Stewart! We learned a lot about the wildlife of Skye and photography tips!

Stewart is a friendly & knowledgeable nature guide. New all the best places & shared his experience & tips that will remain with me. Saw tutting stags but highlight had to be the pair of golden eagles. 1 perched within its favourite view spot. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful afternoon! Stewart picked us up promptly at our hotel and took us off along some country roads in search of Skye wildlife. He had asked what our main interests were and tailored the route and timings to coordinate with the tides and habits of the animals we were interested in. We were lucky enough to spot a golden eagle in flight and a white tailed eagle on a rocky shoal. The best was an imperial stag with his herd of hinds. No way we would have spotted them on our own, or seen them without his scope. We learned a lot about their habits and the island’s ecology. Stewart is a great story teller and this is a great tour to take if you’d like a more in depth experience of the beautiful Isle of Skye.

The most beautiful scenery, Heather was in bloom, the countryside was a lush green, and lots of sheep that look like goats. Stewart was away on a family emergency and his step son, Max, was the guide for this day. He was quite knowledgeable about history of the clans on Skye and their castle ruins, and the unique landscape. We drove the north side of the island which was grand. Max was charming and gracious. His live for the area was obvious. if I ever return I will happily book the tour again and go south.

Stewart was an awesome guide. He took care to adapt the tour to the things we wanted to see. He knew the Isle of Skye very well: animals, of course, but land features, geology, and history as well. He was proud of his little island and it showed. My girls ages 9 and 11 had a blast. I would give 6 stars if possible. Definitely recommend.

Just back from a lovely day with Stewart, exploring the unique wildlife of Isle of Skye. As a bird nerd, my main focus wasn't photography (pun intended) but identifying birds unknown to me as an east coast based American. Stewart is true professional, identifying for me the variety of birds mentioned in the other reviews, including the eagles and local song and shore birds. What is important to me is his devotion to doing right by the animals (keeping a distance, respecting their needs) and by the community - he offhandedly mentioned he has the personal permission of the largest landowner to access her property - the only local guide with that. He didn't need to ask for it - it was, though, the right thing to do. Thank you, Stewart, for a great intro to Skye wildlife!

We had a perfect morning. Seen a Golden Eagle and Deer and lots of other Birds. Stewart was a great guide gave much information and did everything to show us an Otter. But the Otters stayed away. Thanks Stewart for a lovely morning!

Had an amazing experience. I've always wanted to see an Eagle, stewart was great company, thought we weren't going to see anything but near the end we were treated to a fly past if a pair of golden eagles. Not only that but they came down on the hillside and through a spotter scope saw one eating its dinner. Once in a lifetime experience! Would highly recommend

My husband and I spent a day with Stewart on a wildlife tour. We were able to see a nesting pair of golden eagles, sea otters, deer, dolphins, and many other birds (sea eagle, black guillemont, multiple gull species, great tit, great cormorant, common eider, hooded cow, eurasian blackbird, european robin, eurasian oystercatcher, buzzard, and many more). We were able to watch a sea otter through a spotting scope for a while as she hunted and ate which was such a neat experience. Stewart is extremely knowledgeable about these animals and would event predict the otter's next move as she hunted. It was quite impressive! He was also very aware of the distance needed to safely observe these animals without causing them stress or an effect on their behavior. Binoculars were also provided if needed. Overall, it was a great day of conversation and wildlife touring. I would recommend this trip to anyone coming to the island!
