Preveli Beach

The beach of Preveli is situated 40 km south of the main town and is the most idyllic beach in Rethymno. Preveli reminds of an exotic lagoon. It is an oasis of palm trees with crystalline greenish waters and fine soft sand. The Kourtaliotis River ends at this wonderful beach, creating a delta.

Kourtaliotiko Gorge

The Kourtaliotiko Gorge, also known as the Asomatos Gorge , is a gorge on the southern side of the western part of the island of Crete.

Potamon Dam

The lake of Potami is shaped by the Potami dam, in Amari province and was built in 2008, 25km south of Rethymnon. The lake has a capacity of 23 million cubic meters and is one of the most important wetlands in the southeast Mediterranean, with many species of birds and animals being recorded in the area.

The Lion Fountains

The jewel of the village, the venetian fountain Kefalovrissi with its 25 lion heads, is located in the city centerand is not to miss, around them the village square with cafes and taverns under huge plane trees invite for a linger.

This was a wonderful experience and a great day to spend seeing parts of Crete. You would never without a Land Rover. some off Roading and lots of spectacular views and great stuff guides and interpreters. We had Dennis and Michael who were very friendly and informative, and a great pleasure to spend the day with them, taking us to all these wonderful places. The food and drink was amazing and everywhere we stopped. The people were so friendly.

We have just finished our Safari with the wonderful Andreas today, His knowledge and enthusiasm were second to none. He took time with all the members of our jeep to make this a very memorable trip. Including taking photos and ensuring we all were extremely well informed about the history of the areas we visited. Highly recommended especially if Andreas is your guide.

We had a fantastic day on the tour and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in seeing some of the beautiful Crete landscape. Our tour guide Andreas was brilliant - so knowledgable about the island and a great driver, who made us feel really safe on the off-roading parts of the tour. He was really charismatic and made the driving enjoyable, learning all about the important industries which contribute to Crete, and it was very interesting. The views throughout the entire tour were spectacular and the beach was stunning. The tour provides regular breaks for photo opportunities and to stretch your legs, but some lovely scenic drives too. We really loved our day and it was a great memory on our trip.

Booked via our TUI rep, Pavlos and Yohan our drivers, fantastic fun and knowledgeable. We asked for the Vitro car as more comfortable, given our age. Swam at palm beach, great lunch.. We were collected at Kavros to meet the users at Rethymno which gave us extra ride next to the sea..Thouroughly Recommended

A fantastic day. Michael, the driver, was top class - really friendly, knowledgable and gave great insights into local life. He was a pleasure to spend the day with. The tour was good. The swim was appreciated in the heat and the lunch in the taverna was a real highlight. A really good company. Excellent. Possibly cheaper to book direct, than through a resort rep……

This was such an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to those visiting Crete. We wish we’d got time to do one of the other safaris too but sadly haven’t. Our driver was called Yanis and he was lovely, really funny and shared lots of interesting facts about Crete with us (and a few jokes!) The off roading was amazing and the keep surprisingly comfortable and we felt very safe! We visited a tiny village and had the chance to taste olive oil and bread and also bought to take home. When we reached the top of the mountain we had a glass of Prosecco and some fruit) The driver helped us with photos too which was lovely! We then stopped for dinner in a lovely taverna and the food was delicious and fresh. It was so lovely meeting other families on the trip and was just a really lovely evening making memories. Highly recommend this trip - thank you Safari Club!

We were really looking forward to our Jeep safari. We were travelling as a family of 14 so required two jeeps. We were travelling with my 2 year old son, so at booking the rep phoned to double check that he was allowed to travel and would have his own seat, this was confirmed. When we were picked up from our hotel at Blue Bay, they had no idea we had a child and said there was no room for him unless he sat on my knee. Wasn’t an ideal start to the trip. We had a driver named Costos (I think) and his hygiene was terrible. He smelt of terrible body odour and I was unlucky to have to sit behind him for the whole journey there and back. Not pleasant for us all having to share a small space with him. Saw the sites and thought they were ok, and lunch was nice too. On return to the hotel, as we were all one family, we were happy to tip the driver for his troubles, my father gave him a tip, and the rest of us were going to give him some more but after receiving his tip from my father, he thought that was all he was getting, slammed the door and made comment of how terrible the tip was. We decided due to his outburst that we weren’t going to give him any more money as he was clearly extremely ungrateful! I thought the trip was ok but due to the extreme smell of B.O for the whole trip and the rudeness of your driver, I probably wouldn’t recommend to others.

Absolutely fantastic! It was an amazing day! Lots of lovely views. Our tour guide, Andreas, was so full of local knowledge. My teens really enjoyed it too! Beautiful beach and the food was delicious
