Our tour of the Colosseum and Forum was very enjoyable. We were a small group of only 3, which was great. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour guide speaks very good English and knows very much about the Colloseo amd the Foro. We enjoyed the tour a lot.

We were blessed to have Arturo as our guide. His knowledge and passion for Roman history was evident from the beginning! His easy going and laid back approach kept everyone engaged. It felt like more like a conversation than a history lesson. He welcomed questions and took time to answer them fully. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Arturo! We learned, we laughed especially over the giraffe.

We took a Maximus Tour of the Colosseum and Forum in April. Our tour guide Rich was excellent! Rich was extremely knowledgeable of everything that we were seeing and presented it in a very interesting way. I would not recommend touring the Colosseum without a tour guide and Maximus Tours is the best.

Radu was an incredible tour guide. Very entertaining, funny, and also knowledgeable. He kept us laughing and was able to answer any questions the group had

Wonderful informative tour from the Theology doctorate who’s been doing this for 25 years and is from Pittsburgh. Pace was fast so not for the elderly but well worth it if you can move quick and can absorb the information as it comes at you. No waiting for hours in the long lines that snaked through the Coliseum grounds. Every minute spent was utilized learning about something new. Kudos to Roman Vacations/Maximus Tours!

It was the one day of the week with torrential rain, the original guide had called in sick & it rained extremely heavily during the tour & we were all totally soaked by the end. This did not matter at all, our replacement tour guide was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable and funny, kept us very entertained during the tour. The detail that the guide was able to provide was fantastic, really made the tour enjoyable !!!!

A wonderfully informative tour. I didn't expect to learn as much as we did and highly recommend this tour for anyone that is able to walk a fair amount. The Colosseum wasn't built with the ADA in mind, obviously, so that is one consideration. Our guide was able to recount the history of not only the Colosseum, Forum, and surrounding areas, but of the rise of Rome itself and the various aspects that may have contributed to its downfall. I came back with a book recommendation and am listening to SPQR presently. I booked another tour, the Vatican, with Maximus Tours and was equally impressed. Should the occasion arise, I'd jump on the change to tour with them again.
