We met our private driver Fernando at the disembarkation point in Livorno and headed to Cinqueterre. He dropped us at one of the five spots, Riomaggiore. We then went by train to Manarolla and then to Vernazza where we had lunch at a fine restaurant called Belforte. The driver then took us to the 4th location Corniglia. The only spot out of the five that we could not visit was Monterosso. Cinqueterre is a must see and the view from Vernazza is superb. It would have been better to go to Vernazza by boat to enjoy the scenery and take some nice pictures from the sea. The trip from Livorno to Cinqueterre is 1h45 so nearly 3h30 is spent on the road. Otherwise, the tour is highly recommended

Great time- just not enough time do to all 4 fishing villages with traffic and cruise restrictions. So beautiful!

Our guide Fernando was safe, knowledgeable and friendly. We added a stop in Pisa and it was the best part.

The trip was basically just a transfer in a minivan to cinque terre…the driver did not speak English well and gave us no information or tour while we were driving. He left us at the first town monterosso and told us to take the train to see the other 4 towns. We had to pay for the train tickets separately and he just left us there to figure it out on out own. The train ran behind schedule and by the time we went to 3 towns we had to get back to our meeting point with the driver leaving us no time to sight see in the last town. From there he transported us back to the ship. It was not a private tour by any means and was a huge expense for little return. Plan to complain to the tour company.

We had a lot of problems during this tour with the company. It was not an excursion but just a driver and he did not speak English as promised; there was also no wifi on the vehicle as promised. I called the company after we arrived, and we were told to shuttle from the port to a bus stop downtown. After some time, I called again and then was told that we were supposed to be picked up at the port. This caused a significant delayed start to the excursion. When the driver arrived, it was a van that only held 7, but we booked for 8. One couple was not able to join us and had to return to the ship. We were supposed to visit four of five towns in Cinque Terre, but due to delays and traffic, we only visited two. The two we visited were amazing (Monterosso and Riomaggiore) but then the driver got lost getting us back to the port, and we needed to use our own maps app on our phones with a translate program (to communicate with the driver) to help get us there. Once we got to the port, the driver was told he could not enter the port because his company was not pre-approved. That's how I know the company was lying when they said the driver was supposed to pick us up from the port initially. The driver drove us back to the bus station downtown and we had to take the cruise shuttle back to the ship. Now I am fighting with the company to get my refund for two passengers, as they only refunded a partial payment. I would not use this company again, Ciao Florence Tours, and realistically, you need more time to visit Cinque Terre from the Port of Livorno.
