The driver was very good. He was a safe driver. His name is John. It takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to go there from Naples. We enjoyed speaking with him during the trip. The ladies at the ticket booth at the ruins were rude and impatient. The museum was a disappointment. There is not much to see in the museum. The Ruins are very interesting I would recommend to my friends a visit to the ruins.

Easy independent trip! I traveled on a Sunday in Feb 2023 to Paestum. The official site app is fantastic for providing an audio tour and it is free! I had Dow loaded another tour and ending up usi g the free one instead as it was superior. The site is discounted to 6€ in the winter as most of the large museum is closed. You can go to the first floor of the museum and see tomb frescos including the diver. The weather and light was great in the morning and there were only us and another two people there until 9:40am. The temples are amazing and exceeded expectations. It is a short walk from the Paestum train station to these impressive ruins. You can buy the train tickets on the regular Trenitalia app, website etc. There is only a machine at the station in Paestum. I was staying in Pompeii so transferred in Salerno, the most common destination from this station. Note that there are no trains between 11:30 and 14:15. So either come around 11 and plan to stay and have lunch at the site or get there at 8:39 and leave at 11:26. This was enough time in the winter but I would have needed more if the museum was open .

More than amazing view of the temples and the site, well preserved and breathtaking. Do not miss the museum! It is equally beautiful and rich of stunning pieces, among which the super famous fresco of the Tomb of the Diver

Parcheggiato presso l'area camper Eolo e, come servizio, c'è acqua e corrente. Costo 18 euro a notte. Zona tranquilla e alberata.
