Irina was a very knowledgeable guide! She was able to give us a concise but very helpful historical context of what we were seeing. She had her info planned, along with visual aids, but was very responsive to our questions, and was able to tailor the experience for us. Although this was only an hour tour, it never felt rushed and we had plenty of time in the chapel and with the Michelangelo sculptures (and we could stay afterwards and spend as much time as we wanted). Irina's information gave me a much deeper appreciation of the Medici family and their influence on art in Italy.

Our guide Irina was great and very informative but there wasn’t as much to see in the Medici Chapels as there was in the other museums we toured. Our group was a little disappointed in the exhibits at the Medici Chapels.

There’s no way we would’ve enjoyed the Medici chapels without a private tour guide. She explained all of the complicated history in a way that made it make sense. She also came very prepared with an iPad with famous paintings of the Medici family, so that we could get a visual of who each of them were.

Irina is a fantastic storyteller; she loves and knows all the stories about the Medici Chapel, but her explanations are rich in lively details and come to life when she uses her tablet to give faces and a visual reference to anchor every essential detail. She checked and engaged with our 8-year-old, who was also completely vested in her narrative. We fell more in love with the story of the chapel and the city.
