Our guide Ivan was humorous, informative and didn’t rush thru any of the exhibits. He patiently answered any questions we had. It was a small group on the tour with just 4 people which was great.

Excellent guide, perfectly organised, knowledgeable and welcoming. Not so many people at 9 am. Good point to start doscovering Florence.

We loved this tour. After a long day of touring we were skeptical. But our guide, Ivan, made it extremely enjoyable.

We had a great guide who took us through at a good steady pace, giving us enough information but not overloading us, very balanced; plus left time for us to take pictures and take in the ceiling paintings and the pictures, etc. Definitely recommend this.

Very knowledgeable Guide, very good value for money, we got to see a lot. Mindy there was so much to see I wouldn’t of minded if the tour had started at 1 pm as always plenty of things that we could’ve seen afterwards.

If you want to know a bit about the Medici family this is for you. The frescos are beautiful and the room of maps was very surprising

I booked a reservation well in advance. A few days before, they sent me an email "Dear guest, Many thanks for your reservation of Florence: Palazzo Vecchio Guided Tour.. Unfortunately, the minimum number of participants has not been reached." They asked that I either pay more ($100+ for a private tour) or choose a later date (when I'm already out of town). I spent hours planning this trip so it is extremely annoying to have it canceled at the last minute. However, I understand that they have to make money and don't want to do a tour if there are not enough guests so I told them to just cancel the tour. I ended up visiting the site myself. Not only did they not cancel the tour, they are fighting my request for a refund from their own cancellation! This is crazy and feels like a scam.

Ivan (the terrible), our tour guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and funny. Everything had a story. His love and pride for his job shined through.

First of all, we got lucky. It was November, the off-season and Palazzo Vecchio is frankly an underrated tour so it was only us and one other couple - very personal tour. Second, Ivan was great. You do these tours because, if you did it yourself, you likely would not appreciate what you're seeing and the significant; Ivan made sure you hit the most important bits and understood the signifance of everything. Including how egotistical Cosimo was (his name and the Medici crest is EVERYWHERE). Ivan's degree I beleive is directly related to the Vecchio and it showed. He knew many details that were fascinating, was able to talk to the staff to lament how they put one of the most beautiful tapestries in one of the worst locations, and genuinely seemed passionate - which is contagious and makes the tour that much more enjoyable. He had a great sense of humor and volunteered to take pictures of us, which was appreciated. Oh, and may not mean much to some, but we just wandered into Niccolo Machiavelli's office! For this lawyer and political science major, that was such a treat. Totally not expecting that. Be sure to check our the gift shop on the way out and tip your guide. Oh, and the interior is just beauitful, including works from household names like a certain creator of "The David," to other impressive artists.

He seems like a good person but honestly the Tour became boring because of all the small details. It’s seem like we were in history class preparing for a test. I hope this review helps to improve.
