A great trip, Pompeii, which is a must-see + climbing Mount Vesuvius. We had a great guide, Thank you Mario :) Great knowledge and care about the participants

Nicoletta, our guide in Pompeii, was incredible! She was extremely knowledgeable, was more than happy to answer any questions, and taught us about how to start identifying the various structures on our own. We didn’t have time to go to some of the further landmarks such as the amphitheater and Garden of the Fugitives with our group, but we had enough time after the tour ended to explore those places on our own. It was an extra treat to be able to see the newly opened areas and hear about future excavations. Mario was our hiking tour guide for Mt Vesuvius and was great! It was definitely a hike up, so be prepared for that. But he made sure to stop to not only give us breaks but to explain everything we’re seeing around us. Learning about other eruptions than just the one of 79AD and how those changed the actually structure of the mounts were fascinating! We had a great time and would happily tour with Nicoletta and Mario again.

Alessandra was an incredible tour guide for Pompeii. She had an answer to every question, was easy to understand, was a compelling storyteller and so engaging. She was just amazing! Mario was a wonderful guide up to the top of Mount Vesuvius. We really loved getting to know him and he shared his vast knowledge of the area so well. Would definitely request both of them again!

Antonio was the highlight of our tour - he's so passionate about his job and it comes across. Great explanations and takes time answering questions . He extended the tour by 10 minutes so we could take a look inside a house which was an added bonus, the ruins are a must see. Mt Vesuvius tour with Mario and Giovanni was also great, a 25 minute elevation but rest of the hike is easy! All tour guides were incredibly friendly and easy going. Would recommend to try to do both in the same day but if only limited to one excursion would go to the Pompeii ruins!

Our tour was fantastic. Our driver Giovanni was experienced, safe, and pointed out local points of interest along the way. Our guide at Pompeii (Silvia) was very knowledgable and hilarious. She led us through Pompeii with confidence. Would recommend this tour and these two guides in particular.

This was a great way to see the highlights of Pompeii then spend the afternoon on Mount Vesuvius! Definitely glad we did it, but it was a lot to do in one day. Definitely could've spent one day doing each thing to explore more and have more time to take it in, but given our schedule this was a great option. Spent the morning in Pompeii with a group of ~20 people led by a very energetic and informative guide. Each had a headset to ensure we could hear. Saw the highlights of the city and learned about the history - very cool to see in person! Pompeii is quite a big city so we only saw a small part, but learned so much. Then met at the meeting point again with a smaller group (~8 people) to take a bus over to Vesuvius. Because it was after daylight savings, we didn't get a break for lunch - which made it tough. I think normally there's an hour break between Pompeii tour and leaving for Vesuvius. Guide was very informative and friendly. Hike itself was doable, but it is at a pretty steep incline for probably 30 minutes straight with rocks everywhere. But the view the whole way was amazing. Definitely was harder hike than some of the other reviews make it seem. Once you are closer to the crater, it evens out, but still uphill. Guide was good about taking breaks and making sure everyone felt comfortable. Once at the top, a volcano expert from the part expained more of what they do and about the volcano, which was great! There's a few shops at the top for trinkets, snacks, or drinks.

Our guides at both Pompeii and the walk up to the crater at Vesuvius were excellent. They were knowledgeable and knew how to manage their group and best of all deliver an excellent learning experience.
