There are plenty of things to consider when it comes to planning your corporate Christmas party, and it could end in disaster if you make mistakes
For many employees, the company Christmas party is the highlight of the year. And when done well, colleagues get closer to each other and inhibitions are disgarded. But when it’s at its worst, and an unfortunate combination of alcohol and poor planning is combined it could be a disaster. Therefore, we have made a list of things to try to avoid when arranging the Christmas fun:
- Do not wait too long to book your venue
Whether the party is to be held in the company's premises or whether premises are to be booked outside, it is important to book well in advance. Otherwise, you may miss out on the venue - Be careful with the about of alcohol
If there is a free bar, things can often go wrong, and some people may get too drunk! Try if necessary. with a certain number of drink vouchers for each person during the evening. - Consider the dress code
Ensure the participants dress in an appropriate way to match your company's brand and style. A suitable dress or a nice suit will never go wrong in most situations. - Pick the right style of entertainment
For example, an exotic dancer or rude comedian would not be okay for most events. It’s about having a feel for what is right for your team and company - Remember the rest of the building
If the party is to be held at the company's address, make sure to lock all the doors and rooms that the party could find to spread to. If it is a large building, you may need to hire staff to control the participants. - Do not forget to enjoy the party!
It's a party for you too. So even if you have to keep track of a lot of things up to and throughout the evening, remember to have fun with your colleagues.
