1. Get sign off on a late start
OK so this is perhaps the place to start! If you can (and not every company can do this) allow your team to start the day after the party a bit later than usual or even to work from home. This will mean that the team will feel more relaxed during the evening knowing that don’t have to rush into work nursing a hangover!
2. Provide a team breakfast
To help everyone get over the office party, why not pre-order breakfast for everyone? Many local caterers and cafes will deliver a range of good including Danish pastries, croissants, warm breads, and doughnuts direct to your workplace, and will provide the perfect tonic to your team as they arrive for work after a great night out.
3. Hire a barista
Caffeine is the ideal way to boost your team after the Christmas party, and don’t leave them with the standard instant coffee or office filter brew. You could hire a personal barista to spend the morning at your coffee providing lattes, espressos, cappuccinos, black americanos, and types of seasonal flavours.
4. Company massages
One way of soothing wary bodies and tired minds is to hire a team of masseurs for the office. Professional masseurs will arrive at your workplace with all the equipment required, and all they need is a quiet place to work. Employees can then book slots of 15, 30 or even 60 minutes of professional treatments.
5. Fresh fruit
Nature can be a great healer, so pre-order some fresh fruit to be delivered to your workplace as a natural booster. Fruit baskets of bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, peaches, and cherries can be picked up throughout the day, and you could also consider fresh fruit smoothies combined with added vitamins, vegetables, and herbs.
6. Go for a team walk
If the team are feeling jaded, then an escape from the office for some fresh could be just what is required. Whether you choose a walk in a local park, get some views of the local river or lake, or even just around the local area. You can consider doing on a nature walk, or even hiring a tour guide to show your group around a particular part of town. Fresh air, good company, and screen breaks – perfect!
7. Order pizza for everyone
Bread, cheese, tomato, and lots of the toppings! Pizza is the perfect savoury treat to make everyone feel better after a big night. Consider ordering in pizza for a treat for the team for lunch. You can either talk to your local pizzeria, or even research a pizza food truck who will come to your workplace, fire up the oven and serve great pizza to order, even Hawaiian pizzas!
8. Provide wellbeing classes
There are many classes that your company can book to will allow employees to improve their health the day after your Christmas party. As a business you could consider hiring experts in yoga, pilates, breathing, meditation, and nutrition. This class could form part of a larger wellbeing schedule or just a post Christmas party treat.
9. Canine support
If limbs are tired, and heads are heavy why not allow employees to bring their dogs to the office? Those big eyes and wagging tails will be a treat for not only their owners but also the other members of the team! You won’t be short of potential dog walkers, and the dogs will love the attention.
10. Let everone go home early
Often the day after the night before feels like the longest day of the year, so why not treat the department to an early finish? Whether or not they choose to go home early to see family, go back to bed, or just finish up their work at home; everyone in the team will appreciate the gesture. 😊
