Francesco was our tour guide and he was the best! My husband and I were on our honeymoon and he made the experience so much fun! Honestly, one of the funniest people we have ever met. I think his kindness, comedy, and knowledge made the experience memorable. I would do it all over again I could!! Definitely recommend!! 100000/10

We were absolutely blown away with our Colosseum tour with Dario. He was funny and informative and did a great job of moving us through the Colosseum and then on to Palentine Hill and the Roman Forum. He never rushed us, but we didn't feel like we missed anything either. It was a gloomy wet and rainy day, and he was great keeping us in the dry areas as he could! More than anything, I want Dario to know how much we appreciated his recognition of my parents' abilities. We were traveling with my parents (both 80) who are generally active. However, my mom has difficulty with stairs and my dad had an unfortunate fall outside of the Vatican the day before our Colosseum tour meaning that neither of them were at 100%. Without asking, he kindly utilized the elevator for them to go up and down at the Colosseum so they didn't miss any of the tour. I truly cannot tell you how much that meant to us and to them. We spent 13 days touring sites from Athens to Greek islands, Turkey and other stops in Italy, and Dario was one of our top two tours. He was engaging and so warm and friendly. We were impressed with the entire set up from start to finish with LivTours. I would absolutely book another personal tour with LivTours (and Dario!) and will recommend LivTours to my agency and my clients. Well done!

First visit to Rome, and difficult to pick tour companies. Saw a few good recommendations for Liv Tours, so went with them. I made a few changes to the reservation (changed tours), and customer service was very accommodating. I can highly recommend Liv Tours. Only had a few days in Rome pre-cruise, so I did not want to risk having to deal with a flakey company. A little more expensive than other companies, but they have small groups and are reliable. After passing a few groups of 20, I am glad I went with a small tour (max 6 people). 3 Liv Tours in 3 days helped us to see the a few major sites in Rome in depth. If you are spending a week in Rome, start with the Golf Cart tour to get a good overview. If you want a good artwork tour, see Baroque Masterpieces: Borghese Gallery Tour and request Selenia (her area of specialty). Wanted to see the Colosseum and surrounding area, so chose we chose the Women in Ancient Rome tour that included the Forum and Palatine Hill as well. Selenia is an art history major, so gave us a lot of history of the sites. She spoke English well. Not sure if the extra cost for the arena floor add-on was worth it. You can get a look with the regular admission. Having Selenia describe the story behind each site helped envision what you were looking at in its full glory, and was well worth it. If you are arriving by cab, give yourself a lot of extra time. We started a 20-minute cab ride an hour early, and still only arrived just in time. The last part on foot, since cars are not allowed that close to the metro station. I sent an e-mail that we are running late, and all was well.

Elizabetta @ LIV was our tour guide and our experience was amazing. She shared so many details, stories, photos as well as her personal story, being part of an excavation project and her findings. She was awesome!

We paid a premium price for this tour, I have to say it was not worth it. There were supposed to be six people on our tour. We had six people in our group and booked this tour so we could have a private experience. When we got there they did not have enough tour guides so they added two people to our tour. What a RIP OFF!. When I questioned the coordinator about it he was rude and what I would consider abusive. He said I’ll give you your money back right now opened his wallet and made a big show of it. I would have gladly done that if I had other options at the time. It is a busy season and getting tickets for the Colosseum is very difficult. He came back to me a few minutes later and said I want you to be happy, he was very close to me and yelling in my face! I had already told him I would be fine with it I didn’t have any other options. He was rude, obnoxious and made me very uncomfortable. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They don’t give you what you pay for an after speaking to a clerk who is working at a nearby stand she told me they do that all the time! The tour guide was OK that’s why I gave it a two rating. Stay away from this company!
